Thermal resistance can also be called a kind of thermal sensor, but its resistance changes with temperature change.

Did not work for my boiler. It did indeed keep the pilot lit, but would intermittently go out, driving me insane. Replacing with a higher quality thermocouple fixed the issue.

My iron plate fire went out. I searched for a long time and finally found this replacement. It is the right length and easy to install. It solves the problem perfectly. Worth recommending

I purchased this item twice. The first time, it worked fine, no issues. The second time, it threaded poorly due to the boiler being old, when I tried to back it out, this item snapped in half. It literally crumbled inside the wrench.

I have found that the thermocouple lasts for years but will fail at the most inopportune times. Have aa extra always on hand for my water heater and garage furnace . The universal thermo couple fits both of my appliances well and was easy to fit each application.

Our hot water stopped comming out and I thought the pilot light just needed to be lit back up but the light would only stay lit if I kept the gas button pressed, and once I let go of it, the light would turn back off. I looked online and it said it might be the Thermocouple that needs replacing.I went and bought this for $10 and saw a YouTube video that showed how to replace it, I got to work on it, and then we had hot water again. I am BY NO MEANS a handy man AT ALL (it took me 40 minutes to replace my windshield wipers the first time I did it and it is something that literally takes one minute to do when you know what you are doing. This is how bad I am at fixing things 🤦♂️) and this took me less than 15 minutes to do. I'm glad I found this universal piece at such a low price. I bet I would have been charged $100+ if I had a tech come in and do it.
