Very nice. Would look good mounted, but I need it for a piece of testing equipment.

This meter requires a shunt, they said so in the description. I failed to read that part. Whoops, seemed reasonable for a cheep replica Simpson gauge.

Good item for the price I just wish they had higher amp ratings

As per details in description. I ordered the shunt that was recommended. It was NOT needed and reads 10 amps properly WITHOUT a shunt. I waisted the $$ on the shunt.

Ammeter shut info inaccurate. Had to fabricate shut to get a reference reading. Not sure about a repeat purchase. Anyway, looks nice

This does not seem to be a DC ammeter. I installed it in a 12 volt panel, put 2.4 amps through it confirmed with a test ammeter, and he needle pinned at 25 amps reading then stopped working. Tried the second, same result. Disassembled the meter, and there doesn’t seem to be any kind of shunt, although there is a place where one might go. I think this is just the .75 MV volt meter without the shunt for 20 amps it is supposed to have. 12 volts across it and it is fried.Reading the description more carefully, it explains one needs to buy a separate, external shunt. My experience with ammeters of 25 amps or less is that they have internal shunts. The external shunt they sell is huge - about 4.75”X1”. My panel has room for that, but otherwise I would recommend the Ancor 25 amp ammeter with internal shunt, a reliable brand. One can also buy on Amazon what seems to be the identical ammeter but with an internal shunt under the Baomain brand.

I ordered this product based on the photos in the listing, but the product I received had a very different pointer/needle. This one is narrow and orange, and in my opinion, very difficult to see from any distance. The orange paint is also poorly applied and is already flaking off.

This is huge... Thought it was smaller it is in a plastic case (looked mettle) and the glass is plastic. is very sensitive, that is good. But man its big, almost Frankenstein dial, switch flipping ,prop huge. (steam punk dream prop) Will use for a future build (was hoping to mod for a OHM meter, looked cool but to big)
