I have an old Leblanc clarinet with a Stubbins octave mechanism. It sounds lovely, but the octave pip has a tendency to stick, and it was becoming a real problem until I tried the Yamaha pad paper. I leave a piece of the paper between the octave pad and the pip whenever the instrument is in its case and it has solved the sticking octave problem. Previous attempts with parchment paper, dollar bills etc completely failed. It's great value because the pack will likely last me for decades and will see occasional use on all of my saxes and clarinets, but it has saved the Leblanc.

Had a real problem with sticky G# KEY ON one of my saxophones.I used cigarette paper for a long time ,but this is much better. There is a powder residue on the paper that lasts a long time. It works very well and I recommend it highly.

I had a cheaper soprano with sticky pads and was always stressed at gigs. I had cleaned the pads with alcohol and tried powders, but nothing seemed to keep them from sticking - until I got these. Before every gig I wipe down my problem pads with these before every gig and I have no issues. If I'm outdoors in the summer I may have to wipe one more time, but usually I don't. These are great.

At last! A solution to my sticky register key problem (alto clarinet)! I tried dollar bills, cigarette paper, and wet q-tips, and the very minimal success of any of these lasted about one playing session. O woe was me!! I tried this powder paper and it's been almost two months so far with no recurrence of the problem! I love this and will be keeping it handy in case any other keys give me trouble! Also, I have been able to help out two of my fellow bass clarinet players. The register keys of low clarinets seem to be vulnerable to this, probably because of their proximity to saliva (and all it can contain!) and the fact that they are operated by linkages instead of direct levers (as on a soprano clarinet). One local school horn had a history of not playing consistently in the upper register, and they thought it was broken somehow. I looked at it, heard that tell-tale sticky noise on the register key, and Powder Paper to the rescue! Problem solved! I am delighted.

Before getting the powder paper, I had a BIG problem with sticky keys on my flute. I had been using cigarette paper for a while, using every part of the paper to ensure there were no sticky keys, but it never worked. And then, I got this. Suddenly, I could just spend 2 seconds taking out the sticky keys, and it ACTUALLY went away! This was an incredible investment, and I cannot be more grateful for it.

Does a good job. Keep a piece in notes of G when not using.

It has worked..you must do it over & over.It is better than putting a spray powder that gets on clothing. I had a problem with my G# key that was sticking. This paper worked ok.

Le product est bon. Par contre, la livraison a pris près de deux semaines. De plus le coût total était outrageusement élevé. Je ne peux pas croire qu'Amazon ne peut trouver un fabriquant ou distributeur de ce produit plus près que la Floride.

The paper works very well - I am now cutting each paper into 2 or 3 strips to fit them into the pad area more easily.
