Disassembly of the clarinet
- Separate the clarinet into five sections, the mouthpiece (ligature, reed), barrel, left hand body section, right hand body section and bell.
- Handle the reed carefully to avoid breaking it.
- Be sure not to break the keys when disassembling the clarinet. Keep each part in a safe place.

Cleaning clarinet parts
- Use the dust brush to clean dust and dirt from the tone holes, the keys and the levers
- Clean the inside of the mouthpiece with a mouthpiece brush to remove stains and dirt.
- Apply cork grease sparingly to the tenon corks. Please note only apply cork grease when the clarinet is hard to assemble. Too much cork grease can damage the tenon corks. You might need to grease the cork more often in the dry winter months.

- Wipe the body with the micro-fiber cleaning cloth.
- Clean the inside of the tube with a cleaning swab to draw out moisture and accumulated contaminants.
- If there is a buildup of dirt, use a soft cotton swab or cleaning rod dipped in a small amount of special cleaning solution and gently wipe.

Cleaning clarinet parts
- Clean the key contact points, apply a small amount of oil to the pivot points, move the key to distribute it evenly, and wipe off the excess oil. Be careful to use special oil to avoid overdose.
- When you feel that the buttons are loose, you can use a screwdriver to adjust them.
- Slide the thumb rest cushion over your clarinet thumb rest to add a bit of comfort.
- After cleaning, return the clarinet to the instrument case.
