Love this for peace of mind in our home. Really easy set up as long as you read the instructions, took me about 10 minutes to connect it to my wifi, install/set up the app, then install into my ceiling. So handy to be able to just go on my phone to check CO readings and to be able to see that my alarm is working properly with a very quick test, eases so much anxiety for me! We’ve never had a fire or gas leak so haven’t been able to test it in the real sense, but honestly hope I never have to

I lit a fire right under it lots of smoke never went off at all! Got a 2nd one same thing doesn’t detect anything lit a lot of smoke in my kitchen!!!Battery was working fine and set up correctly to wifi this detector never detected any smoke at all now my whole house smells like smoke but needed to make sure this product worked and it failed!! Ordered a replacement maybe I just got a defective one , hopefully the next one works.

If after you first connect to app and it says your battery is low, give it a few minutes! It will update. The instructions were simple and easy to follow. Printed manual is in tiny font, super tiny font! Not a plus.Looking forward to using this device, especially because of its compatibility with wifi and notifications if I am away from home and need to keep an eye on my elderly family members activities in the kitchen.

works great. Gonna be replacing all my smoke detectors with these. I just wish they had a temp and humidity sensors inside.

I was looking for an alternative for the Nest Protect detector after Google failed to property integrate or support the Nest. I needed WiFi access since it is located in a remote cottage. This X-Spense combination detector fit the bill perfectly. Ease to install. iPhone app makes it easy to check on the detector even from a 1,000 miles away. It will send me alerts is there are problems. Great product!
