I bought these to replace an expired set of X-Sense 10 year smoke alarms. The old ones actually lasted a little longer than 10 years (my bad), so I'm pretty confident that these will last as long as advertised. The installation was easy and the addition of CO detection makes these a little larger so it covers all the mounting holes from previous alarms. The CO detection also gives me greater peace of mind since I have a gas furnace. They are loud, as smoke detectors should be. They are also probably the nicest looking alarms I've ever had - very nice design. I haven't had any false alarms so far. Overall, I very happy with these. Definitely worth the money for combo smoke/CO alarms.

It works!!!!! I forgot I was cooking left a pot on and it was loud and got the attention of everyone in the house. I placed it in the Dining area. **Review of the Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector** As a homeowner, ensuring the safety of my family is my top priority. After thorough research, I recently purchased a combination smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and I must say, it has not only met but exceeded my expectations. **Design and Installation:** The first thing I noticed was the sleek design of the unit. It fits seamlessly into my home decor without being an eyesore. The installation process was incredibly straightforward. The package included all the necessary hardware, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Within 15 minutes, I had it mounted on the ceiling, ready to go. **Functionality:** What truly impressed me was the dual functionality. The smoke detector is sensitive enough to detect smoke from cooking but not overly sensitive to false alarms from steam. The carbon monoxide detector is equally impressive; it provides real-time monitoring and alerts me to any dangerous levels of CO in the air. The unit features a loud alarm that is hard to miss, which gives me peace of mind, especially at night. **Smart Features:** One of the I can also check the status of the batteries and receive notifications when they need to be replaced. This is especially useful because it eliminates the guesswork and ensures that my detectors are always functioning properly. **User Experience:** The device has a built-in voice alert system that clearly indicates whether smoke or carbon monoxide is detected. This is a significant improvement over traditional alarms that only beep. The voice alerts are helpful, especially in a household with children, as they can understand the warning more **Conclusion:** Overall, I highly recommend this smoke and carbon monoxide detector to anyone looking to enhance their home safety. It combines modern technology with user-friendly features, providing both peace of mind and practicality. The investment is well worth it for the safety of my loved ones, and I feel more secure knowing that I have reliable protection against fire and carbon monoxide risks in my home.

I almost returned these because the alarm didn’t fit on the old already installed base. I am glad I didn’t. they were simple to install with clear instructions. No constant flashing light and are very loud.

I was looking for a combo as well as a 10 year battery life so I decided to by the X-Sense. Was easy to install and it does flash a green light but does not bother me at night at all. They are a little big.
