It's super long, we didn't realize how long. However, we were able to cut it to the size we need and it works perfectly. My dog can run freely without running out of our yard. We did have an issue with the tree not wanting to hold the screw but my husband got that fixed and it's been great since.

Dogs should be in a harness not just a collar! If the dog doesn't know their boundaries then they could easily run to the end of the lead and snap their necks in a collar alone. They need supervision, and a few guided walks so the dog can get to know their new boundaries. If the dog is running around playing it's very easy for them to get a leg caught in the lead and cause serious injuries. Supervision is necessary while in use to avoid added vet bills and fatalities. It's good quality, I've had to add extra 'c' clamps because they plastic coding breaks and the line saggs. Good value for the money.

We took ours to the camp site for our large dogs. Couple minutes of frustration to get the tension decent but once it’s up and tight it’s great!Price wise it’s about the same as purchasing all the pieces individually and constructing it yourself. So that made the decision easier to buy!

Le système fonctionne bien, mais il faut acheter à part une bonne laisse.

Nice product! However, we go through these once a year because we live in Hawaii where it's usually wet. The metal usually breaks after 1 year. Have thought about getting one of those heavy duty units which cost over $100 but not really sure they would last any better.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has dogs with limited space for them to roam on their own. I have a 90#+ German Shepherd who I’ve had to walk on a leash bc of not so nice neighbors. Bc of my disability I am unable to run with her or let her off leash to play frisbee/ball etc. until I got this runner. Now, I am able to do all those things I love to do with her again. It was fairly straightforward to put up but I would suggest having @ least 2-3 ppl handy when pulling it taut enough so that the line doesn’t sag. I wouldn’t leave the dog unattended unless you’re sure they won’t get tangled up in the attached leash. Otherwise, enjoy the Freedom that you & your Beloved Fur Baby deserve! It is a very sturdy setup & I have no doubt that it’ll keep my GSD safe & secure.

Love the cable. Recently moved into a moble home park - so not easy to install fence for a dog accustomed to running around loose.Purchased the 100 ft. ( Didn't need that much! So curled up wasn't needed).I live in Florida, so the attached leash would suffer in our weather long term - so just used a different tie out cable - its 20 ft, so she can still get into trouble when she wants! However, the included leash is remarkable. Very well thought out. From the locking, swivel clasp, the Bungie area, the mid grip area for the human hand(added control for your dog, when acting like a lunatic) to the end of the leash handle. All awesome. Extremely comfortable for both dog and human! I am happily using it just as a leash. However, if my property boundaries would have allowed, would definitely use that part in the intended manner.( And probably with a harness, and cable up higher.)Loved the several options to install the overhead cable. We used the sling on a palm tree and bolts on another small tree out back. And the tightening thingy ( forget the name of it) on the sling side.Didn't use the hooks, but did save them just in case...The pulley. Glides and swivels perfectly.I don't like tying my dog's up outside, never had to in a fully fenced in back yard previously. Training and monitoring is so important. I get to do both with this, and my fur kids are happy!

We installed this at 6PM last night and tried it out on our 6 month old, 30-pound border collie. We were looking forward to giving her more freedom in our backyard. The installation on one end was a sturdy tree and the other was through the siding and into the wood behind it on our brick home. Within a half hour, she'd stretched out the metal in the hook on the house, and it disengaged from the clip. She ran into our neighbor's yard, cable and all. Since the hook was flimsy to begin with, we replaced it with a large, very durable eye hook and made sure it was securely embedded in the wood. This morning, we discovered that she’d chewed halfway through the blue leash, leaving her at risk of it breaking or giving her the chance to chew through it entirely - not good. We put duct tape on the chewed area hoping to make it last until we could replace the blue leash with chain link so that she could not chew through it. Thinking she was safe for the moment, we went in the house and minutes later heard a loud, sort of crunching sound. This 30 pound pup had pulled the eye hook so hard that it ripped off the siding on the corner of the house. Within less than 24 hours, we admitted defeat. Neither the leash nor the hooks were sturdy enough to allow the set up to work. It's a great idea, but consider all the angles before purchasing and don't even bother using the hook that comes with it - just start with a very sturdy eye hook and maybe that set up will work for your dog. As for us, with a lot of disappointment, we're back to the drawing board...
