Installed this inside a cabinet to hold small items like nail clippers etc, despite cleaning the surface with alcohol first the strip falls off with temperature changes and isn’t as strong magnetically as I was hoping.

I don't know why I thought this magnetic tape would be any different than the rest. It's not strong.I got it to make a small mesh bug screen but it won't hold anything heavier than a small pair of kitchen scissors with a plastic handle. The adhesive sticks well at first but doesn't stay all that sticky, the magnets moved around. I tried to get them to flatten out by placing a sledgehammer on top of them, they're still curling up.It will barely work for my small, lightweight project but I'd return it if I could (decided to use it to see how it did_ and get the earth magnets. One of those, smaller than this entire roll, holds my super van door open no problem.

This is relatively light duty magnetic tape. Light duty meaning: It will hold power driver bits but not anything heavier. If that is what you want, keep reading. This tape has medium duty glue (speaking as an expert). To use this tape you must a) 'book' it, b) apply in cool & dry conditions, c) apply only to non-porous material (metal, glass, most plastic). (Booking means: unroll it flat and place a book on either end for 24 hours to remove all tendency to curl.) If you don't book it, if there's too much heat or humidity, if the surface is porous or dirty, the tape will curl off.If you can meet all the above criteria, this tape will work well. Otherwise, you're going to be fighting it and annoyed it isn't stronger and with heavier duty glue.Full disclosure: its useless for the purposes I tried to use it for. BUT, I emailed the company and they absolutely bent over backwards trying to help me out with multiple samples of additional products that might work better. Customer service is why this product gets 5 stars. Otherwise quality and narrow use range would warrant 3 stars.

Works as advertised, company sends you an email with some basic things to do to get ready, follow them and you'll have no problems. In case you didn't get the email or you deleted it before reading here's the instructions:A Quick Instruction Kit For The Magnetic Tape's Installation:For best results on applying your Magnetic Tape, these are some few key areas that one should absolutely put in mind during the application stage:1) Stabilize the magnet's temperature and allow it to reach room temperature. It would be best to apply the magnets at 60 degrees Fahrenheit.2) Cut desired portion of magnet with heavy scissors or hobby knife.3) Attach the magnet's curled side to a piece of metal for several hours to flatten its curl. Do not roll the magnet strip to the other side to force it from uncurling. This will damage the strip.4) Clean the surface to be installed with alcohol solution and let it dry by wiping with a dry and clean cloth.5) Peel the backing of the magnet tape and apply it to the surface. The length and number strips that one should apply on the object should be directly proportional to the object's weight and size. If the object's surface is wide or if it a little bit heavy, then it would be ideal to apply more strips at a longer length.6) Apply pressure to the newly installed magnets through your fingers or any small cylindrical canister that can be used as a roller.7) Allow adhesive to cure for 12 hours to ensure maximum bonding strength.

This magnetic tape was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to be able to use a white board for our wooden letter tiles to keep it organized and easy to build words during tutoring. This tape works perfectly for that and was nice and easy to cut and the adhesive works well so it made putting the magnets on a breeze.

I'm going to caveat this review by saying that this particular product did not work for what I needed it for, which was to hang a magnetic paper towel holder above my sink. It did hold a lot of other things that I tested with it and you could tell that the strength of the tape is crazy strong. After receiving my product, I got several emails from the CEO of the company ensuring that the everything was working properly for me. I sent a few pictures explaining what I was trying to accomplish to make sure that I was using the tape correctly. Within a day of sending those pictures, I got a response that the magnetic tape would basically repel the magnet of the paper towel holder. HERE'S THE BEST PART - they came up with a solution that would work for me and sent me the hook and loop tape FREE OF CHARGE!Talk about a good customer experience!! The hook and loop tape worked like a charm (they really know their products). I listed the link to the hook and loop tape in case anyone else isn't sure which of their products to purchase.https://www.amazon.com/XFasten-Adhesive-10-Foot-Industrial-Resistant/dp/B01HQOV17SIn general, you're buying this amazing tape from a company that cares about the customer!

The adhesive is not very strong. I put these under my cabinets to hold non-magnetic spice tins (8 oz and 2 oz). Day 1 - I did as the directions said, left the roll out to flatten over-night. Day 2 - I hung the strips (about 2 ft each) under my cabinets and left them there over-night. Day 3 - I put the spice tins on the magnetic strips and they worked very well. I had a problem with the 8 oz tin holding salt because it was so heavy but I did find the right spot and it held on. Over night I heard the tins falling. When I came down in the morning I saw the strip had come off of the cabinet. I decided to gorilla glue the strips back on (I know, they aren't ever coming off) and it has now been almost a week and everything is hanging on.I also put some smaller strips on the inside of my cabinet doors to hold the 2 oz tins. Those have held fine with no issues at all.The only suggestion I can make is to use two strips of the magnetic tape if you are going to hang heavier things.
