This magnet is very easy to measure and cut to size. The magnet roll is an economical 100 feet long, 1” wide, 0.60” thick and can hold up to 12 pounds of weight per linear foot. It is suitable for usage in temperatures ranging from -15 degrees F and 160 degrees F. Master Magnetics was founded in 1976 and is currently located in Castle Rock, Colorado. Supposed to be 12 lbs per foot or 1 lb per inch. It barely sticks to itself. This stuff is garbage.

These work great for holding very light stuff but if you are looking for something to hold up something heavy look for something else

I was disappointed withe the magnetic strength. I was looking for something to hold down a thin cloth against metal, and although this product will stick directly to the metal, it basically falls off if there is anything between it and the metal.

the hold strength is way under the listed 12lbs per foot. A 2 foot section barely holds up a 0.4lbs piece of fabric.

Hefty 9-pound 100-foot roll of non-adhesive magnetic strip received. Purchased to temporarily stick 6 mil plastic sheet to thick metal gazebo frame. Various advertised brands claim 12 pounds of pull force per linear foot (also 650 gauss of magnetic force is sometimes advertised). No method of measurement was identified. Using one linear foot of this magnetic strip I was able to pull the strip off 3 different metal materials with only 1.4 pounds of pull force. It took 2.0 pounds of pull force to remove the strip from another strip of this same magnet. Therefore, it is for "very light" use only.Edit -- after a few months of use I down-rated this to 2 stars. The magnetic strength is JUNK for the purpose of temporarily holding 6 mil vapor barrier plastic to a metal frame. I would not recommend this product for that purpose. With an 8 foot long strip it is able to hold its own weight, and very little else. There is absolutely no way this magnet supports the advertised 12 pounds of pull force per foot.

Unfortunately, what was shipped doesn't match the photo. It has a groove down the middle. My expectation from the product photo was that it was completely smooth.

Only gave it three stars because it popped up when I typed magnet for neato. Does not work as a boundary marker for neato. may be fine as a magnet (don't know, I returned it).
