I'm only going to give this 2 Stars it there's nothing that it was describe the instructions say full-scale plans they are not they're copies they've been copied so many times that the lines are faded wording is faded and they're definitely not full size plans but only three actual pieces that are full size

First off I am not a carpenter or wood worker but I love the challenge of building anything. I read other reviews people have posted and all I can say is that anyone with 1/2 a brain can build these chairs. I decided to build 4 at once, its much easier to prep all of your pieces then start the assembly process. If you read through the prints the cut sheet is very easy to understand. Cut all of your material to length then use the templates to trace out the parts. I found it easier when i had to make 2 of the same parts to trace the template on one then clamp the 2nd part to it. Make your cutout with a jigsaw then keep them clamped sand them together so they match. There is definitely a learning curve to the assembly process and is much easier with two people. The first chair took me about 1 hour to assemble, the next 3 with an extra set of hands took about 20 minutes to assemble. The material I used was just plain pine trim board form Lowe's and I torched finished them before assembly. Glue every joint! I am currently in the process of staining the frame work black and adding clear polyurethane to the chairs. I will add some pictures when they are completely done. I have roughly 12 hours into 4 chairs, the majority of the time was spent shaping/sanding all of the contours in the chair. I highly recommend that you have a good belt/disc sander that has guides to keep parts square. I built 4 chairs with a chop saw, jigsaw, hand held belt sander, cordless drill and a cordless impact for driving screws. I will now add a table top belt/disc sander to my quiver for future builds. The templates are made from paper, I love the chairs so I will transfer the templates to construction paper for making more. My advise is to take your time to understand the prints and be very meticulous with shaping and sanding your parts, if you do this you will have quality chairs in the end.

Directions are pretty vague, you have to think on your own a little (what a concept). Would be helpful if they told you which type wood to use, I’m gonna use cedar next build. Templates are paper so I traced out on 1/8” paneling type wood for future builds. Definitely read ahead and 🤔 think!

I spent some time on Nantucket, and this chair reminded me of the experience. I didn't sit in one, but I did see a number of them. So it was more of a feeling than anything else when I looked up these plans by Woodcraft Supply. I did my homework and picked the one that appeared to fit my eclectic style. I don't like instructions that treat the user like a moron. And usually those suck. I can often get by with a photograph. But that means the first attempt is a test and must be discarded. These plans took away the risk. It took me a couple years (good Lord) to get around to this project. But I set aside a full day, as described in the instructions. I had my garage free of my wife's car, and I set up the table saw, chop saw and work bench. There are quite a few cuts. I used cedar fencing I bought from Lowe's. I cut out each piece using the templates and sanded the crap out of them. The rounded sections took a little work. Then I remembered something from wood shop back when I was a kid in Alaska. The rasp. I put it to work and cruised, sanding the finished pieces in a fraction of the time. I followed the plans to the letter. There was a little bobble at the end, but I figured out what I missed and assembled the finished product. I spent about 12 hours building the chair. But I finished and sealed it with boiled linseed oil. I posted the pictures on Facebook and got a huge response. It pretty much boggled my mind. This company is golden. Huge thumbs up. I will make a second chair shortly, and I suspect it will take about six hours. I'm nearly a journeyman.

you do not get complete cutouts. you have to go and buy additional paper to make a template. all the paper they send you is so thin it needs to be transferred to heavier paper. the directions are sketchy at best. I would not recommend this anyone,

I made two chairs from this plan last summer, and they look perfect on our deck. However, the plans were a bit hard to follow. I wish each piece was drawn out separately. I am a beginner and the chairs appear sturdy and are visually pleasing when completed. I'm planning to make more, or at least to make the loveseat in the same style.
