NOTE: This sale is for woodworking plans, NOT furniture. This is a complete set of plans for my favorite Twin over Full, Full over Queen, and Queen over King Bunk Bed. That is right; ALL SIZES (Twin, Full, Queen, and King)!!! My instructions with easy to follow patterns and directions are designed as a construction project for the beginning woodworker. Extensive attention is given to speed and ease of construction, with a minimum of tools. A great Bunk Bed can be built with just a skill saw, and drill. Directions are aimed at the beginning woodworker, but should not bore even an experienced carpenter. WARNING: Everyone Will Love This Bunk Bed Design. Just about everyone who sees it will want you to build one or more, for them. (That is the reason I decided to write these plans.) Unlike most plans out there, you will be able to understand these! I have looked at others and I guarantee they are not as good as my plans! The plan features: 35 pages containing very detailed, step by step instructions. Each step includes diagrams and or photographs to assist in the construction process. 17 Patterns; One for each piece that makes construction so easy a caveman could do it! Built entirely from Standard 2X4s, 2X6s and 1/2 inch Thick Plywood or any thickness you prefer. Tips, Tricks and Notes that allow you to cut without error the first time. Can be built with just a skill saw, and drill. This project plan is designed for the beginning woodworker, but should not bore even the most experienced carpenter.

Good start if you want to build your own bunkbed. Pretty much just a cut list of materials you need to buy. Quality of print was not good. Very blurry text. Too many photocopies made from it.

This takes some work to put together, but once it done it's a fantastic bunk bed set. Grandkids love it. Very good quality.

It took me about 6 weeks of Sunday's, most of the time was sanding and staining. It turned out great, very solid, and my kids love it. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is the images int he directions need to be upgraded. I printed the PDF so I could have it handy while working, and some of the images have such low resolution that we had to look at the images online. Otherwise the plans were good and easy to follow.

You could have saved me the time I waited to receive this bunch of papers by just emailing the file. Then I would have been able to see right away that it was not for me, saved a tree, and moved on to the plan that I ended up building. It was really muddled by including all versions of the bunkbend run together as they were.

There were several things I did not like about it. The cutting directions were fine but I had left over wood and NOWHERE in thepattern did it tell where they went. The pictures were blurry so you couldn't even see when the directions weren't clear. I couldnot find 2 3/4" wood screws so I got 3" and it didn't say what size. I revamped the pattern because I didn't like the cutting outof the middle of the 2x4 that supports the top bunk and doing it that way it didn't line up with the top so I notched out the inside. It would be nice if you told the degree of the angle on the steps so I improvised on that too. Also, the steps are too far apart.I think 12 inches or a little more would have been a plenty big enough space for little legs to try and climb up. I don't like thespace on the top bunk at the head and foot of the bed. If the boards I had extra were supposed to go there to keep the mattressin there is nowhere in the pattern that says to put them on the outside. I think the bed looks pretty cool but the pattern could have been more detailed.

I will say, as a professional carpenter myself, that these plans were not the easiest I have ever worked with, and I have doubts as to whether someone that does not posses some basic background carpentry skills would be able to complete a satisfacory product. The photographs were fuzzy, the diagrams a little small to be able to determine exactly what was being depicted, and the task descriptions were often a little vague. That being said, I took these plans, modified them to fabricate a queen over queen, and reversed the layout to place the ladder on the opposite corner. My bunk beds turned out quite nicely, and the basic layout put forth in the plans, with all the measurements, was error-free as far as I could determine.

We bought this plan to build a bunkbed for our boys. We loved that it had a specific shopping list with all materials needed listed. We built the full over queen bed, and modified it with a bedrail on the bottom bed as well for our 18 month old son. They both LOVE their new bunk bed...and we love that it saved us money and we were able to easily build what we wanted/needed! The plan is very detailed and easy to follow. We will probably order another plan for a dresser!
