The hardware is designed with easy plug and play features which is very easy to install. So what it comes down to is that this unit allows you transmit high definition videos and audio signals from a source like a cable box, a computer or play station console to a TV or projector unit with out having to use a physical cable. Pretty much letting you send content wirelessly across the room or into another room without the clutter of cables. It gives you a lot more flexibility with setting up your room.I was able to connect my smart TV to the receiver within minutes. The included user manual was really good. The diagrams are really good. And the written directions are really good. I then set up the transmitter like a pro. I then proceeded to connect the transmitter to my blu ray player. Again I followed the diagrams and the written instructions. I was able to transmit a movyto my smart TV. My smart TV is very large. So it is difficult to have the blu ray player and other units in close proximity of the smart TV. And it would be impossible to use cables to hook all of them up. Plus it would be impossible to keep track of all the cables and units. With the extender I can do that without cables.
