If you have a Spectrum ARRIS DVR model DCX3600-M and need an IR extender, this one for you. Just plug into ext IR port and you done. Very reasonably priced.

This was able to work well but the only issue was its size. I wish it was smaller.

Not likely due to the product because it works well, but, if you intend to allow an “extra” IR input this did not work on my Frontier wifi cable (IP815-w) box. Maybe it does on others....not sure. So I won’t fault it for that. Do these ever work as a second active input? I had planned to pass through a wall to my patio to feed a poolside tv using same box. It turns out I should have just used the app on my phone for that all along!

I just switched to Spectrum TV. The problem that I knew I would have was being able to hide it behind my TV mounted on the wall. I was told they had newer boxes that had RF but that was not sent and still not sure if that is true. So as for the this Extender I could not be happier. What I did was plug it into the back of the box before powering it up. Then mounted the box on the backside of the tv out of sight. Placed the extender in sight of where we sit and Presto ! it worked like a charm :-) So for now until the RF systems are sent out this seems to be the perfect solution. Hope this helps anyone that need to do the same thing. Ps. there is only one spot to plug this in on the back of the Cable box. Take Care, GrandpaJake :-)

This IR cable may work great but in my specific case it was not compatible with the equipment I have. I was trying to use this IR receiver cable to receive and transmit a IR signal from a Philips RC122 remote control via a HDMI over Cat-6 paired setup to control a Spectrum 200 DVR/Cable set top box in a media closet. I tried this with two different brands (Wyrestorm and Atlona) of the HDMI over Cat-6 products. I also tried a Monoprice version of the IR receiver cable but that didn't work either. Amazon made it easy to return both incompatible cables. I ultimately purchased a new complete setup which works as needed. https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Extender-Ethernet-Cable-Standard/dp/B07NN42YXJ

Well the Inteset 38-56 kHz Wideband Infrared (IR) Receiver Extender Cable for Cable Boxes, DVR's did just that. I plugged it into our Arris VMS1100 cable box and voila all of a sudden the remote worked like never before. No more entering numerous times to get some command through. I even turned the remote away from the IR Receiver about 45 degrees and it still worked. Fantastic product, great price, wonderful plug and play installation. If you need an extended this is the one you should buy, it works perfectly right out of the box. Love it.

Several reviews say it does not work.Used for ESHOWEE X96 Mini TV Box and had no problem.Suggest buyers make sure before purchasing that the remote frecuency is compatible with IR signal range. If it is not, this sensor will never work.
