This is a great product as the HDMI cable have a lot of limitations for long distance usage. Using a network cable is very cheap compared to a HDMI cable - recommend to use CAT6 for long distance, or CAT5 half of this distance or less! This also repeat the IR signal to the TV or receiver. This uses a direct link cable, so I think is not TCP/IP enabled, so don't use it connected to a network switch, just direct cable connection between the two terminals, and it will simply work!

A very interesting concept. It says that you can use multiple receivers with it and I I find this to be very interesting. I got it just to extend across the large room so I'm just connected from the transmitter to the receiver directly with a cat 6. It is very sensitive to bad connections so you got to make sure you have a quality cable with good ends on it. It took me three tries to get the one end properly installed so that I got very good connection across it. It would test fine. It works fine with internet but it did not work with this device until you know. Like I said multiple tries and finally I got it working and it's still a little touchy if you wiggle it wrong and we're pull it out a little bit so, but I'm very curious to see. It says that you can connect the transmitter to a network just to your regular internet network switch and then connect multiple receivers on that and it will transmit the signal to multiple TVs. And I think that's a very neat idea. I like that. That would be great for displays or you know showing the same thing on multiple TVs. It's a little expensive, but just from the field that it feels it's very solid metal feeling device so I mean it doesn't feel cheap. It feels expensive and the quality is great as if you were connected directly to it so I'm happy with it. I think it has a lot of potential. I wish I could use it to it's maximum potential

I've used a component extender in my house for about 15 years, but was beginning to get some quality issues so thought it was time to upgrade to HDMI. This product was easy to use out of the box--just plug in the source HDMI to one end, ethernet to the distant location, plug in the ethernet and HDMI to the display at the other end and voila--you have video! I'm not using the IR blaster feature but nice option.Resolution is advertised at 1080P... I'm not sure if that only applies to the converted signal or if the pass through is downgraded to that as well. Meaning, if you put a 4k signal in, you're not going to get 4k through the ethernet cable, but will you get 4k through the output HDMI side if the device? Figuring that out for certain is way beyond my expertise, but I didn't notice any picture degradation so I think this is going to be a great solution for us.When we had out house built, I had cat 5e run through most of the house, so this is a great solution here. Also perfect if you're doing conference room work and need longer video runs for presentation screens that don't require super hi-res.

I was working on a project to connect three televisions from one side of our church to the other. We had CAT6 cabling installed for the project and just needed a device that could take the signal to the three televisions. This product looked perfect for our use, so I ordered it to give it a try. This worked immediately upon plugging all the parts together and to power. We had signal and the picture was clear and crisp. A few adjustments to the resolution and we were ready for action. This was wonderful by itself, but these devices have the ability to loop from one to another so that we can send all three signals out without needing an HDMI distributor.I immediately purchased two more and now we have all three televisions showing the same picture. The only issue that we had at all was that one of the signal boxes did not work until we changed the resolution on the television - which was different than the other two. But we figured that out fairly quickly and now are thrilled with the final results.I could see myself purchasing another one of these to be able to put the signal from one television to others in my home as well. The loop out feature is fantastic for multiple displays and I could see some great uses for this technology. If you are in the market for an HDMI over CAT6 device, this one is great!

Easy to set up and worked great until it just started to flicker and then stopped working all together after a few months.

The receiver doesn't power on anymore. While it worked, it was really good. Installation was super easy. Unfortunately, it worked for less than a month. Orei support however, responded quickly and shipped a replacement. Will update upon delivery.
