Our 1 year old kept pushing the power button on our cable box, so we moved the box into our tv console and ran the wire through the back. This solved the issue and worked perfectly with our Verizon Fios cable box.

I have a Russound TVA2.1 amplifier fed by optical output from the TV. The original IR receiver stopped working. Could get this next day and it has the same plug configuration. Thought it would be a winner. But, it's not working either. The amp works "except" I cannot adjust volume. Will search for something else. Maybe call the OEM.UPDATE: HERFAIR contacted me due to return. Top notch! I have found my problem is likely the receiver, not the IR receptor. I changed rating from 1 to 5 due to their outreach and the problem isn't with their product.

This is the one you want for the Micca Speck 4k Ultra. It's much more sensitive than the internal sensor. The remote doesn't have to be pointed exactly at the Micca box as before. With the remote sensor just sitting on top of the TV stand, you can point the remote at any wall or ceiling and it works perfectly. When I first got my Micca Speck 4k Ultra, I thought I had slow or no response problems. This all cleared up after plugging in the remote sensor.

These IR receiver extenders are terrible. Sitting only 6 feet away from the receiver, the remote has to be pointing DIRECTLY at it for it to work. Even pointing the remote at a 10 degree angle away from the receiver, it stops working. And yes, I've put new batteries in my remote to make sure it's not just a weak signal from the remote. Before I moved the cable box, it's built-in IR receiver was basically in the same spot this extender is in now, and with the built-in sensor the remote would work all the way across the room, and even when the remote was pointing almost 90 degrees away from the cable box!

We have an Arris cable box/DVR we keep in a cabinet. Had to have the cabinet doors open for the remote to work, which was a pain and didn't look very good. This very neatly solved the problem - the cable box had an IR port in the back, plug this in, then run the receiver end where you'd like it to use the remote. No separate power required. Remote works great and the receiver is small and unobtrusive. Very simple, low cost solution.

This IR remote sensor works very well by connecting and pluging to the IR In Port of the Tonewinner AT-300 AV Preamp Processor. It is very sensitive and functions well to the IR remote control in the 7.2.4 Home Theater.Highly recommended to buy.

First of all, it is not a two pack. Also the one I got didn’t work. Zero stars

Love em'. Do exactly what you want. The cables is better quality than the one that came with my old Motorola DVR. A Plus.
