This review is for the Cenmate 1x2 HDMI Extender Splitter, 1080P@60Hz HDMI Over EthernetI have a venue that has a pair of digital signage monitors, one on either side of the stage.I use those and the other TVs in the place through an 8x8 matrix switcher. Not only did these work great while being used with a signal from that (no challenges with the EDIDs), but the signal was clear, one of my cables is cat 5A while the other is cat 6A.The thing that I really like about these is that they are the HDMI extender version of power over ethernet. And the Box back at my matrix switcher gets powered, and the two that are near the TVs don't need extra wall warts. All of my single-ended extenders require power at both ends, and this is a nice little bonus. It works great, I have a clear picture, and two less power adapters in my life is a good thing

This has got to be recompressing the video but I cannot tell. There is a delay but it's slight, and these devices aren't for active use (think gaming, general faster pace computer use)It's got some good features like power over cable, you only need to plug in the base, the other boxes will get signal and power from it.I believe it works with HDCP, it's not "magic" but as long as your display devices would work, they should work though this.My longer one on this is a very chewed up CAT5E cable, the twist is non-existent in places and it should just be replaced. It works with this. I think that cable is 50ft. I'm only pushing 720p over it.I did have a problem where the IR Repeating didn't work. I contacted the seller and told them about it. The sending unit always faintly glows and while I can see it pulse when I send a command, it doesn't glow much brighter. They said it was normal to glow all the time (I don't think that's right) then they gave me a few steps to try. When none of that worked, they offered a refund. So that's good on the seller.

This HDMI splitter/extender is a fantastic solution for expanding your video output options. Here's how it works: you connect your source device (PC, laptop, gaming console, etc.) to the input on the main transmitter. From there, you have four output options all located on the main transmitter unit: two local HDMI outputs that connect directly from the transmitter to your displays via HDMI cables, and two Ethernet outputs that transmit the video signal to the included receiver units (two receivers are included in the package). It’s important to clarify how the Ethernet functionality works. Unlike some devices, this splitter/extender doesn’t assign IP addresses or integrate with your LAN through a router or network switch. Instead, the Ethernet cables connect directly from the transmitter to the receivers. At the receiver end, you connect an HDMI cable from the receiver to your display. The receivers are incredibly convenient as they don’t require external power. While it doesn’t work over a standard LAN, the direct connection setup ensures fast, reliable video transmission over long distances. This setup provides a lot of flexibility. You can configure up to four displays using a combination of the two local HDMI outputs and the two Ethernet-based outputs. The Ethernet-based outputs are especially useful for displays that are farther away, while the local HDMI outputs are perfect for nearby monitors or TVs. That said, I do wish it supported LAN functionality to allow integration through network switches or routers, as this would add even more versatility to the setup.Overall, this HDMI splitter/extender is a reliable and well-designed option for anyone looking to expand their display setup. It works exactly as advertised and offers great performance. Just keep in mind that the Ethernet feature is for direct point-to-point connections and not for use over a standard LAN network. Highly recommend!

I needed to get an HDMI run through our building from a studio room through to a stage monitor room. The run was over 100' and I didn't want to run a straight HDMI with boosters. Came across this product and got it - put it in play and the ethernet run made the distance easier to cover and the quality wasn't lost. Every now and then the signal needs to be refreshed by unplugging and re-establishing the connection. The need this was purchased for was met and at a much better price than having to try to make a crazy long HDMI run. It has been significantly better than any wireless solution we tried previously. All in all, it is a great distance wired solution with little to no latency.

I got this to work but it took a bit. For my initial test, I dropped everything to barebones. I connected HDMI cable from laptop to transmitter HDMI IN then connected a network cable from the transmitter to a one of the receivers then connected HDMI cable from that receiver to HDMI port on TV. Initially it didn't work (pretty frustrating) but after I tweaked the EDID settings (to downgrade picture to 1080) it finally worked. My long term plan is for much longer run (longer ethernet cable) and connecting a desktop computer with this TV from another room. I don't expect there to be issues. If there are, I will update this review.General feedback.- Text in documentation and on all units is far too small. Not everyone has eyes of a 14 year old.- EDID settings should also be preconfigured to drop 4K since most people will have this. I guarantee there will be 1 star reviews (and product returns) because of this.
