About this item

  • ➤Product: IR Emitter Cable; Jack: 3.5mm; Total Length: 1.5meters; Emission Angle: +/- 45°
  • ➤Works with all 38-56kHz IR remote control and devices with an IR input port.
  • ➤Low current drive, low power consumption, long launch distance, small size installed.
  • ➤Applied to infrared forwarding equipment, audio and video transmission equipment, IR remote wireless transceiver, centralized control equipment, etc.
  • ➤Please note that the infrared emitter head is glued to the side of the infrared receiver tube, do not cover it, otherwise the device will not be used, and it will be insensitive to remote control by remote control .

☛Size:1.5 meters-Single Red Head-5pcs
☛Description:
1.The emission angle is +/- 45°.Resistant to ambient light effects.
2.Low current drive, low power consumption, long launch distance, small size installed.
3.Applied to infrared forwarding equipment, audio and video transmission equipment, IR remote wireless transceiver, centralized control equipment, etc.
☛Instructions for use:
1. Insert the product plug into the interface of the infrared forwarding device. Generally, the interface has an interface similar to the transmitting signal such as IR OUT, IR TX, IR EMITTER.
2. Paste the infrared emitter head at the appropriate position on the panel of the controlled device. The correct position will affect the remote control sensitivity. Generally, look for the dark red translucent panel of the controlled device. Some devices will indicate the R, IR, INF and other characters. You can also use the flashlight to illuminate the panel to see if there are any components in the red box. This component is Infrared receiver tube.
Note: Please note that the infrared emitter head is glued to the side of the infrared receiver tube, do not cover it, otherwise the device will not be used, and it will be insensitive to remote control by remote control.

The emitters work as intended without issue, as they should being very simple electronics. The one suggestion I would leave to the manufacturer is to add a better adhesive as I had to use glue.

They work fine. I was surprised to find very little information inside the box about the pinout and current limiting resistor requirements. I had some 110R resistors from another project which seem to be giving these LEDs enough oomf with a 5V supply. A great solution if you’re building your own IR remote with an ESP32/8266. Stuck them to the inside of a HiFi rack and they’re happily blinking away.

Emitters seem to work well positioned a centimeter or so above, below, or beside the equipment IR receiver. I have one IR receiver in bright sun for parts of the day, and the emitter works fine in those conditions. I plugged these emitters into a DIY circuit attached to a Raspberry Pi 4 and control them with ir-ctl.While I appreciate the seller answering my question regarding a diode datasheet, I believe they are mistaken. These emitters absolutely include a diode (the 'D' in IR LED). Without a datasheet, I took a shot and used a 120 ohm current-limiting resistor with a 5V signal. Working well so far.Regarding adhesion, I wiped the emitter base and the mating surface with isopropyl alcohol before applying the adhesive pad. Seems good so far, will update if it fails. **UPDATE: the included adhesive pads are no good, fail within days. I'm using 3M's Scotch Mount Indoor Double Sided Mounting Tape instead.

I do a lot of automated IR control work and this is a very cost effective item. Even though it's not the highest of quality as I've had a few issues with the plastic cover falling off after dropping it, (my fault) it's priced right and I will be buying more of these. I am very pleased with this purchase.

The adhesive tape seems a little foamy, so the emitter pulls away from the surface it’s mounted to slightly, which is purely a cosmetic gripe. These don’t have an led indicating to the eye that they’re transmitting but they’ve worked great with my control4 controller

The only way to test a non blinking IR Emitter is with a phone camera. An IPhone camera is sensitive enough to pick up the IR flash. I tested a whole box of these and none actually emit an IR Flash from my Connect4 controller. Zero, work. If the camera doesn’t pick up a flash there not working. Avoid these..not recommended.
