These adapters work pretty well to put on wire nuts and to twist wires. I got them just because I was curious to see how they worked and they are kind of cool. I was hoping they were crazy fast, but they are only a little faster than twisting manually. I'll probably use them on occasion, but it will be hit or miss for me.

So these things have been all over my feed for awhile now and I decided to give it a shot. So. The wire twister does work well. It definitely has a learning cure so I would practice before you use it. The main thing to watch is it will twist the wire along their entire length. So it you want tight twists only at the top, you need to hold the wires with some dykes etc where you want the twists to stop. It does work when you get it right. It's particularly good with a large bunch of 12ga which is always a pain. I will probably just keep twisting with my dykes since it isn't a huge tie saver. I imagine if you were an electrician wiring up a house every day this would be real handy when you get really comfortable using it. I didn't even try the wire nut part, Im sure it works but can't really see the need for it.

This is a well built set.The wire twister is no better or worse than others I’ve used lately. The wire nut twister would be 5 stars, if wire nuts didn’t sit so recessed into it. If you’re accessing short wires, it’s better to see the end of the wire nut but that’s not a huge issue… just my preference. One positive with the wire nut twister is the gripping ability/precision slotting that fits the smallest up to traditional blue wire nuts. Not a bad value and both tools work well. Its definitely a time saver and easy to use just not my favorite design.

Used this to secure some ground wires in an outlet box that had gotten loose. Cinched them up nice and tight. Is this something I could have also done with some wire tools? Yes. But this is a fun tool and I like fun tools. If I were doing a ton of wiring, I’d definitely have a driver with this on there ready to go.I have yet to use the wire nut attachment. So I can’t comment on that one.But if you’re looking for a quick way to twist grounds, this works great!

I needed to wire in a new outlet off of an existing piece of Romex in my attic. I was able to cut the Romex and combine the two sides, plus my new run of Romex. Using the wire twister was as easy as sticking all three wires into the tool and running my drill until I saw the wires twist below. When I took the tool off, the wires were beautifully and tightly twisted together. This ensured they held tight as I switched to the wire nut twister. I swapped the bit, put a wire nut on the twisted wires and gave it an initial twist to get it started, then used the wire nut twister bit to tighter it on. It worked great!I have no concerns about my wires coming loose from each other or the wire nut possibly twisting off. Since I didn't have a lot of wire to work with (cutting a run of Romex in the middle then putting it back together can be tricky when the wire is already tight), these bits were lifesavers.

If you do any electrical work you NEED this tool. My friend wanted to try this wire tool and he is thrilled with how easy it is to use in both twisting and un-twisting electrical wiring as he replaces some lighting in his basement.
