Whiteside Machine Company has been in the router bit business for over 30 years providing customer with quality products while at the same time striving to achieve complete customer satisfaction. Several woodworking magazines have tested Whiteside versus the competition and selected Whiteside as the winner for best router bits available in the market. Whiteside Machine Company was founded in 1970 as a general purpose machine shop in the basement of Bill & Bobbie Whiteside's home. Located in Western North Carolina near the furniture manufacturing town of Hickory, the company was often involved in making repairs or special parts for the furniture and woodworking field. A strong commitment to customer problem-solving, a can-do attitude, and innovative ideas, along with a growing core of dedicated employees, helped the business evolve into a manufacturer of woodworking equipment and tooling. Primarily through repeat business and referrals, the tooling business continued to grow to meet a demand for quality production router bits as well as custom application tooling. Today, Whiteside Machine occupies a 40,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility and produces a complete line of solid carbide and carbide tipped router bits. Whiteside's quality, innovation, and customer commitment is still present in our superb product line, in the design of custom tooling to fill special customer requirements, and in the development of special machinery and tooling for our own manufacturing use. As always, Whiteside Machine is continuously striving to improve our product through new technology, improved production techniques, and ongoing research and development efforts; along with rigid quality control, vital customer feedback and extensive field testing. Make a lot of different items in my wood shop and have found that white side router bits are the best there are when it comes to woodworking!

There’s a lot of really basic Rutter bits in this kit and you can do a lot with it. The price is good and the quality is fantastic. I’ve bought a few budget brand router bits, and I’ve noticed that they cut much rougher and they can burn a little. No issues like that with these to be honest I had to change a little of my habits because these things got it right the first time.p

I got a Dewalt router as a gift, then purchased this bit set after seeing several reviews and recommendations on YouTube. My first project was to route out some insets for hinges on a folding table. The bits are very sharp, making short work of the project. The key to easy routing is not to cut too deep with each pass. These bits are a bit pricey, but if you want quality bits that will work for quite a while, these are them.

I am a relative newbie with a router and have owned this bit set for 18 months. Includes almost all the bits I have needed and only needed to purchase one additional one (for a sign). Very satisfied with the precision and durability.

Whiteside is among the very best you can buy, and people that know routing will undoubtedly agree. You won't regret buying themThe bonus is that this is, in fact, an excellent selection of bits for someone just getting their feet wet. They are all bits that you're likely to use again and again. You can buy a bigger selection for a lot less money here or at the big box store, but you'll end up with a bunch of cheap bits, most of which you'll use once and never need again. Ask youself, do you want a $3 bit spinning at 25,000 rpm, inches in front of your face?I have no connection to Whiteside or anyone else, just impressed with the quality and selection in this set.P.S. Whiteside, how about putting some labeling in the box with these bits? C'mon, give us a break!

These work great and will last a long time. The carry case is nice.My only compliant is that, unlike a Freud and others, they do not label the bits with graphic of the cut AND more importantly they do not label the bit with dimensions.Other than that great stuff here

I have several whiteside router bits including this set, as well as several CMT and Freud. I would say that Whiteside has been the most impressive as far as durability and performance. Freud is a close second, but dont seem to be as consistent from bit to bit. CMT is nice but is still pretty distant from whiteside. Price wise, Whiteside is usually a better value, as the over all performance has been better, and for a large part have been cheaper. I highly recommend these bits, they come in a nice case, and coated in a protective gel so they are in perfect condition. My only issue with whiteside is that I can not find it anywhere other than online, and the selection isnt always as broad as Freud and CMT. If you can find what you need from this company, dont but anything else.
