I use this for more than just cleaning out dadoes, also doing large inlay work. The head is able to clear an impressive amount of inlay. The initial plunge should be done while in movement to prevent burning since the cutting head doesn't clear material from the center of the bit. Used several times already and no signs of dulling. Really a high quality bit that I expect to last for many years.
