Whiteside Machine Company was founded in 1970 as a general purpose machine shop in the basement of Bill & Bobbie Whiteside's home. Located in Western North Carolina near the furniture manufacturing town of Hickory, the company was often involved in making repairs or special parts for the furniture and woodworking field. A strong commitment to customer problem-solving, a can-do attitude, and innovative ideas, along with a growing core of dedicated employees, helped the business evolve into a manufacturer of woodworking equipment and tooling. Primarily through repeat business and referrals, the tooling business continued to grow to meet a demand for quality production router bits as well as custom application tooling. Today, Whiteside Machine occupies a 40,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility and produces a complete line of solid carbide and carbide tipped router bits. I bought this to make juice grooves in hardwood edge face cutting boards. Cuts easily, cleanly, and retains its edge. Top quality bit.

You can't go wrong buying a top quality bit. Use this for juice grooves in my cutting boards, cuts super clean and super quick on my CNC.

I make a lot of cutting boards with maple cherry and purple heart. This router bit cut, smooth and did not burn any of the wood.

I produce a lot of product out of baltic birch. F&S are dialed in on the CNC for this tool.My experience was the first run these where very sharp and left very clean edges with no splittering. By the second run the performance had dropped 15-20%.I use this brand for my downspiral EMs and flush/trim bits but for nearly $30 for this bullnose I don't beleive these are at a good value compared to all the other brands I have used over the past 20years.

Made in the USA, very sharp, cuts nicely. Not as inexpensive as Chinese versions but if you want to support American jobs and get the best bits for your wood projects, it is worth paying a little extra to get a high-quality bit. Whiteside parts are just the best.
