Your cart is empty.The SxS Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly receives water from the water inlet, holds the water in the ice mold until it freezes, and then automatically ejects the ice and refills again until the ice storage bin is filled. This 8-cube replacement ice maker is compatible with many refrigerator models with in-door ice and water dispensers. The assembly includes (3) wiring harnesses, (1) ice bin assembly, and (2) mounting clips. If the coating of your appliance’s current ice maker is flaking off, or if components inside the assembly are no longer functioning properly, replacing the ice maker assembly may alleviate these issues. Basic hand tools and novice repair experience are required for installation. Before installation, unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance and turn off the refrigerator's water supply. Note that this assembly does not include a bail arm; remove the bail arm from the existing ice maker to reuse the new part.

I was able to find online videos with instructions on using this part to replace a failed icemaker in my Frigidaire side-by-side freezer. The entire process took about 1/2 hour and the freezer was making fresh ice in a few hours. This is a no-brainer do-it-yourself repair when the icemaker fails rather than spending several hundred dollars for an appliance repairman.

Perfect replacement for my fridge. It works as I expect it to and is good value. This unit has been installed for several months with no issues.Be sure to toss the first full container of ice or two as the manufacturing "crud" works its way off.

I purchased this for my mom's Whirlpool refrigerator. It is as advertised -- OEM. It was a cinch to install and it worked immediately. As soon as we plugged it in, we heard the water fill the reservoir, and the ice fell on time. Recommend!

Very pleased with the ice maker replacement, I ventured to change out my self and it was very easy. The quality seems the same as the original that I replaced. Al the parts fit perfectly, and is performing as expected. Great value, so happy that I didn’t have to buy a new refrigerator after all!

Our ice machine kept breaking and we decided to try a new one. This one worked but the metal arm was not the right fit. We have to make sure to empty the ice bin regularly because the arm doesn’t work to turn it off and stop it from creating more ice. With living in AZ and needing ice for a large family, it was still worth the purchase.

I was battling an issue with my side by side Whirlpool refrigerator where the inflow of water to fill the ice cube tray was staying on way longer than it needed to, causing water to flood into the ice bin, and out the dispenser onto the outside of the door and pooling onto the floor of my kitchen. It happened several times, but did not occur every time the ice cube tray became filled. I was baffled. I replaced the water inlet valve but that had no effect. After I replaced this entire ice maker assembly, it seemed to fix the problem. I suppose the ice maker was telling the water inlet valve to stay open way too long. I'm glad I was able to fix this issue, and doing it myself is way more rewarding than hiring someone else.
