It is the exact same ice bucket as came with the whirlpool icemaker from the factory for 1/3 of the price. It appears to be a better quality as well. It was very easy on the installation. Just installed today not sure how it will perform in the future but as of now very satisfactory.

This bin saved me a ton of money to replace the broken ice bin in a tenant's apartment. The assembly was not particularly difficult and I had the old one off and the new one installed in about 10 minutes.I would have had it done even faster, but the hex screws that came with the new bin were some odd size that did not match my hex driver. I had to interrupt the job to go grab a Philips driver to screw in the new fasteners since my hex driver wasn't fitting these new screws.

It is heaver then original witch is good thing. Although I think there may be a problem with the rest of the Ice maker as I am getting big chunks of ice instead of ice Quebes. In any event it solved the problem and was affordable.

My original bin broke and this bin was a perfect replacement. All of the holes were predrilled and they even supplied new screws. The plastic bin seemed to be made from a much sturdier plastic.
