Very disappointed. Should have trusted other reviews. Worked great for 45 days then stopped ejecting ice. 15 days after return window closed. The heater failed. Should have at least a 90 day warranty. They know their product is junk. Bad enough to buy something that failed in less than 2 months, but it's far worse when that product requires installation time. Not happy.

I couldn’t find the one that said it replaces part number W10793297. I thought I would give this a shot, because it is only off by one number (W10793298 vs W10793297). This fits perfectly and started making ice immediately. So, if you have a Whirlpool refrigerator this might work for you even if the part number doesn’t exactly match.

If you have a dead ice maker in your whirlpool fridge this is the one you want. They say to use a IC13 b kit and if you search for that on Amazon you will get a very nice machine but it might not fit correctly as the power cable could be too short. This is the one you want it is an exact match for yours and it fits and the cable will reach and man does it make ice. You will be impressed much better performance than what was in our fridge before it's demise.

It wasn't an exact match where the water feed entered the tray, but it worked otherwise Plug was a match and the screw holes lined up.

First it came with no instruction, 2nd it won't stay on it shuts off on its own, 3rd when you go to the trouble shooting section online it's for a countertop ice maker, so it is no help at all. I will give it a day or two and if it does not work, I hope I can send it back
