This ice maker was a perfect fit for my Whirlpool refrigerator. Easy to install. I did have to prime the tray with fresh water (about 4 ounces) to jump start the ice maker. Since then it has worked flawlessly. Well worth the price.

I've bought this same product before and it worked great. However the over all designed of the freezer is why I had to buy another one. Ice cubes gets stuck on the arm and causes the tray to catch and stretch. This product works great. The freezer is what breaks it. Super easy and fast to install. Only 4 screws and 2 connectors.

Worked fine for 6 months then started dumping water all over floor. Not sure if it is over filling or not returning to proper position after dumping. Of course, it is out of warranty.

Had several problems with ice maker in the past year (putting out long chunks of stuck together cubes, ice level arm not going back up, , , reset by unplugging for a while most times).Removed ice maker to check it out last week. Not so hard; Phillips screwdriver, and 1/4" nut driver.Cleaned, defrosted and reset, and seemed to be OK once again.Then noticed leaking down inside of door, tray not returning to horizontal (reason for long chunks sometimes?).Replaced with new ice maker. Like new again !!!Ordered original part number, received another number, but same manufacturer as original Whirlpool (original made in China also). Says "Whirlpool Corp, Factory Certified Parts" on the box. I believe it.Perfect fit. Completely satisfied. Thanks !
