After it arrived, I discovered it was not built for my ladder. The fine print way down in the weeds . Both ladder and leveler were made by Werner. I made it work but I hope it doesn't fail while I am on it!!!

I'm so glad i purchased this. Although initially expensive in my mind for the size of it compared to cost of the ladder, it was so worth it. I have used it several times already on both handicap ramps and uneven terrain around houses. It has proven to be solid and I feel safe going up 20-30 feet so far using this. I would purchase another one for any other ladders I get in the future.

Works well in leveling the ladder. You can extend the leveler easily with your foot while holding the ladder. I use it all the time, even when on even ground because it provides a wider base. It's aluminum so it doesn't add much weight to the ladder. The instructions for installation are good, but I just measured the bottom hole then used the attachments as a template for the other holes.

Worked great to access the roof of a 3 story house with sloped terrain. Combined with a ladder lock on the gutter at the top it was very stable.

I added this to a Werner type 1AA heavy duty fiberglas 24 foot extension ladder. Installation was easy, only required drilling a few holes at the base of the ladder. My house sits on a pretty steep grade from front to rear. Several times a year I have to clean the rain gutters (20 plus foot elevation). This makes the job easier, and more importantly, safer. I no longer have to worry about an unstable ladder. If you think it’s over priced, think again. Think about the cost of a visit to the Emergency Room and subsequent treatment. Recommend.

Wow! I had no idea how much safer I would feel after installing these on my current ladders. Previously, I had been chocking the ladders, but I always felt nervous as the ladders would sometimes slide a bit or slip off the chocks. After installing these, I felt extremely secure painting a two-story home. I do have two recommendations, however: 1. Offer them as a total kit option: The ladder attachments and the actual extensions were sold separately, and they are not cheap. Most people are going to need both eventually, so they should discount them as a package and sell them that way. 2. Resolving Issues: I had one mounting side mechanism that was very difficult to get the extension release tab to operate. I contacted the company to please exchange just that mounting mechanism, but they said they would only exchange the entire package. Anyhow, that would be a lot of wasted shipping, and I had to wait until they received the non-functioning mounting mechanism before sending a replacement. This is hard to do when you are in the middle of a job where customers are depending on you to complete the project in a timely manner. I finally just took a lot of oil and some grease and got it functioning well enough to get it to release.

This product makes using a ladder safer than using shims (blocks of wood or bricks) under one ladder leg to make the ladder plumb. No guessing how much shim to use, instant extension with solid locked engagement. Easy to use once installed. Installation required drilling 6 holes, properly spaced, in the ladder. Fairly easy in a typical aluminum ladder. This fit my Non-Werner ladder perfectly. Made installing gutter guards 18 feet up no big deal. I recommend using the U shaped yoke at the top of the ladder to avoid crushing your aluminum gutters and adds to safety factor. Ladders are top of the list for homeowner injuries, this product makes ladders safer. I am a mechanical engineer, not paid for opinion.

I have installed this product on my Werner aluminum extension ladder and it work well. Once installed it was easy to put into service and make necessary adjustments for non level ground. I did not like the instructions which is not unusual for me. Six holes had to be drilled to bolt the adapters on and the instructions had you making measurements and marking the drill spots. The only way to get it right was to drill one hole and use the adapter for a template for the other two holes. There is no way you could use a tape measure to mark these holes where they would match the holes in the adapter. I believe I could write great instructions which would save time and frustration. It really is a superbly engineered product and I recommend it.
