The bottom hinges on my wooden folding attic steps were worn to the point the joint was flexing backwards with a lot of excess play. Very dangerous. I thought I'd have to replace the entire thing until I found these hinges. They did the job perfectly, they're well built and the design prevents the joint from flexing beyond 180 degrees when opened. Saved me hundreds of dollars and I can safely use the steps again.

Thr rivets in my old attic stair hinges had gotten sloppy in the side rails and with the metal parts in each hinge. Made new side rails from some southern yellow pine and installed these hinges. The hinge joints are now tight and strong and will likely stay that way since each hinge attached 10 screws rather than 4 rivets.Replacing the stair parts was certainly cheaper and less work than replacing the entire stair.

While I did not end up using these, they were professionally packaged, appeared to be of very high quality. If you're going to use them for stair hinge replacement order 4 or 2 pair. The nice bright paint finish was of high quality and the hinge/pin/rivet was also robust. Would highly recommend.

used it on an old wooden attic ladder that got messed up by HVAC installers. The old hinges we borderline dangerous. I put these on and I could jump on the ladder now its so sturdy. I clamped it on then drilled the holes in the wood and bolted it on. Great product well made I saw cheaper items but glad I went with this product due to the heavy gauge steel and the stop.

These are well made. They are strong. The picture show an option to use two sets for a double folded ladder. This means one of the links will be on the side that wants to fold when you're climbing. I would be very careful using like this (angle of the ladder and having an extra security to hold in place). It's good but not foolproof: you have to make sure your design holds. The hinges can bend the wrong way.

Good quality. Easy to install. Way cheaper and easier than replacing attic ladder.

These are heavy duty hinges that were easy to install. We had all given up feeling safe going into the attic because the original hinge was not sturdy and was sagging. These work so well and were so quick to install, we utilize the attic much more now. Great value and I'm glad we purchased these.

These hinges feel sturdy and solid -- exactly what you would want out of attic ladder hinges.

Liked that my ladder is working again! My AC guys broke it and left it hanging with zip ties 😢. Put 1 1/4 inch long hex screws with flat washer a locking washer and a nut on each of the holes we drilled. But we couldn’t close it because the bolts were hitting the gas cartridge so we had to remove 2 of the bolts and then it closed properly. 1 inch bolts were to short to get any washers and barely a nut. We had to use a grinder and hold the rivet with a wrench to get the broken part that was binding. We did not remove all of the rivets or broken hinge we just placed it over the broken part. Exercise the joint many times before putting it on. It’s a little stiff but works! Just saved us a bundle and a weekend of replacing the entire ladder Werner does not have supporting parts for any attic ladders prior to 2014.
