This item is design to go in front of the ladder as a step platform. I was looking to use it as an add-on tray to put my tools when working on the ladder. Unfortunately, this item did not meet my needs and had to return it.

I have a common multi use ladder (Adjustable, A Frame, Extension, etc.) that you get at most Hardware stores now-a-days. Mine specify came from Menards. However this type of ladder does not come with the tool holder that hold A-Frame type ladders come with. Enter this handy gadget. It attached to my ladder with no issue and was very handy for me painting my house as well as general maintenance.Question you may have, is this sturdy? can this hold the weight it claims? Well when my friend and I were painting my house I was telling him about this gadget and how handy it is. I told him it could support 400 lbs and he said bulls$%&. So we put it on the bottom rung of my ladder and I stood on it and then he stood on it with me. Now I weigh around 210 and he weighs in around 190. that's 400 lbs together and it held us. we even did a little bounce and stayed steady and didn't budge or bend. I was quite impressed.

Ordered a few of these trays hoping one would fit my ladder. None did but this one is just narrow enough that it works and provides the versatility that I needed all along. Amazing that Little Giant can’t make one…. Anyone, the search is over and that fact that it CAN take so much weight is a plus with my my remodel projects.Now I get to check this elusive platform fitting tray issue to rest. Box checked!-G
