It works for what I use it for. The only issue is that the LED light cover keeps falling off and falling down the shaft. You have to take it up. Iron works but poor light cover design.

What game changer. Sure wish I got this decades ago for my ha radio work. It gets hot fast. What really makes this thing work is the surface are of the tip. It's probably a hair less than a square centimeter on each side. Being able to apply heat over such a large area compared to a tip makes such a difference.

I bought this to melt heavy pluming silver solder for an arts and crafts project. It works great once it heats up. This iron has a large tip and would not be suitable for small/ electronics type soldering. Great price and fast delivery.

This thing cooks! I am used to 15W irons taking forever to do 8 gauge wire, no more waiting around for me! I have to be careful even not to let the solder run too far in the wire.
