  • 【Good Heat Resistance】The welding blanket can withstand high temperatures up to 1800°F (982°C), and its excellent cooling efficiency enables it to provide maximum thermal protection for most welding work areas, which is a good way to protect people and property safety.
  • 【Durable and tear-resistant】This fireproof blanket is made of high-quality fiberglass material with tear-resistant properties, safe and durable, making it a long-lasting and reliable protective layer in harsh industrial environments.
  • 【Hollow Opening Design】 The mat comes with a round opening in the middle and eyelets at the bottom, allowing it to wrap around the pipe firmly and work. This special design makes it better adapted to narrow spaces and protects the walls or equipment behind the pipe.
  • 【Easy to Hang】This heat shield mat is equipped with rust-proof grommets on the edge, which can be easily hung and firmly fixed in place without manual grip, ensuring maximum stability and coverage when working in different positions.
  • 【Multi-scenario Application】You can use these welding blankets to cover equipment or the ground in the welding area to prevent damage caused by heat, flying sparks, and slag, which are perfect welding accessories and tools. They are also suitable for use as protective covers for wires and cables or thermal insulation for flues and gas pipes.

This is an absolute necessity for doing work involving welding or even sweating on fittings. Having this blanket helps prevent fires and overheating and helps cut down on burning wall interior contents and or staining fixtures that show or have plastic parts (to a certain extent on plastic, it does cut down the heat flow to those items that might melt)

Got this as a way to start using a new soldering tool I bought. This is just small enough to work in my small work station. Works well to prevent the desk from getting torched. I recommend this!

Super useful to have since the welding sparks fly everywhere and can damage areas you do not want melted by the sparks. And most importantly, a must need if you are scared of having a fire hazard. Have had to weld in very unconventional areas for repair work that was next to lumber and this helped take off much of the heat and sparks to avoid starting a fire. A must have for welders

I have a large welding blanket but it is pretty bulky for a lot of jobs. This mini blanket is handy for small jobs...I keep it right on my wire welder, and it makes a good shield from heat and sparks. The material seems resistant to normal weld splatter, so it is pretty easy to use. I have not tried it with heavy welding but it looks ok. I will also use it as a fire prevention shield when torch soldering copper pipes. Overall, a good choice.

Tossed this on the bench and hit it with a mapp torch the fiberglass held up fine, and will be handy to have on hand. The trim/bias on the edges melted when hit directly with the torch. Will be happy to have this in the toolbox the next time I have some pipe to sweat.

I tried this mat holding it to the side of an older HVAC unit and held a butane torch to it until the black surface completely turned white. As the torch went over it, the strands would turn bright orange on top.It held up well to flexing it afterward. Laying directly on the surface enough heat went through to burn the paint, using it folded into a double layer helped, and adding a bit of space, of course, made it work great. I have worked with more expensive similar products and this is an acceptable alternative.I didn't get the acetylene torch out to try this, but I held the butane one to it long enough that I think it will hold up fine for brazing HVAC lines, which is what I will use it for.
