Auto-Sleep Function
Automatic sleep function is an excellent feature. It conserves energy and prevents overheating, but this wasn't enough. We had to make sure this feature was user friendly and we did just that using an intuitive LED lighting system.
UASP Superspeed
Supports UASP, which means dependable, high-quality data transfers to and from your external hard drive at speeds up to 6 Gbps!
Offline Clone Function (No Connection on the USB)
1, Insert Source Disk and Target Disk into hard drive. (The capacity of Target drive must be equal or bigger than Source drive.)
2, Make sure that the USB cable is disconnected from your computer.
3. Connect power supply and switch on power.
4. Press and hold the offline clone button for 3 seconds, release when you see a Blue LED. (Cloning is now ready)
5. Then quickly press the clone button, then offline clone operation will start. Each LED represents 25% completion.
6. The cloning process is complete when ALL the lights turn solid Blue (25%-100%).
7. Turn off the power button and then remove the drives.
Notes:
- Do not try to insert or withdraw HDD or SSD when another hard drive running.
- Mac does not support backup. Overheating and damage to the device please make sure that there are no faulty driver cells.
- Please backup files in the target hard drive before cloning. Any files in target hard drive will be overwritten when offline cloning occurs.
- To avoid data loss, do not remove or insert drives when one drive is working in the docking station. Please power off the docking station before removing.

I needed more space on my laptop HD and was able to clone it to a drive twice as large. There is more to it, you also have to repartition it, but it works.And it is useful to be able to search old HDs for lost files.This product is just what it claims, works well.

Was working on a PC that was barely running. The " Geek Squad" had already tried to clone the hard drive to a new hard drive, but claimed their $$$ machines were not able to clone the drive. As it was imparative to get this PC working, I decided to order the WAVLINK USB 3.0 to SATA Dual Bay External Hard Drive Docking Station with Offline Clone to see if it could work. I plugged the failing drive and a new SSD drive into the Wavlink and set it to clone. Four hours later the lights indicated it cloned the drive 100%. I installed the cloned SSD into the PC and now the PC runs like new. The Wavlink was worth every penny spent!

I have several hdds which are just 1TB or 2TB which I removed from my PC. They still work fine so I bought many different external enclosures but they are not that stable.This one is pretty solid as all wavlink products have given me good impressions so I went with this.It has the power switch at the front so it is easy to power on when needed. Most don't have power switch or has it at the rear.USB hub on this has been pretty good in performance.

I wanted something I could simply slap a drive into and move data to or from another drive or to/ from my PC. I like that this adds extra USB ports to my PC so I can pop flash drives or other devices into it and they pop up on the computer quickly. I also like being able to hot swap hard drives very quickly. I will admit I've never needed the drive clone / copy function so no evaluation there. I've used the multiple ports to transfer data between peripherals many times and the USB 3.0 ports work fine. I've not used the card reader ports but they are on the same interface so they must perform quite similar.The one issue I have had is that sometimes it does not like to run two full size hard drives and recognize them simultaneously. Works for HDD with data tx speed. The USB hubs, are slow and don't work all the time.

I recently purchased this to upgrade the HDD in my laptop to a SSD. This is very easy to use, instructions are concise, and it performed its task rather quickly.Once I installed the new SSD in my laptop, it booted up quite fast and all file integrity seems to be intact.This was definitely a worthwhile investment.

I found the WAVLINK very simple to use after getting past a few bumps. I did have a few slight issues to start. There was one door cover that was stuck in open position. At first it look like it was missing. But after I realized it was just stuck I applied light pressure with my fingers and that freed it. Also when using it just make sure to connect it correctly. My pc required me to connect to the back 3.0 USB of the pc instead of the 3.0 USB ports on the front. I think this was just my pc and nothing to do with WAVLINK but it is worth mentioning in case someone elses pc is picky like mine. Once the slight hiccups were taken care of. It was ready to use in just a few minutes. I am currently using WAVLINK to save family photos and information from older hard drives. It has worked fine on both 2.5"/3.5" hard drives. I have not used it on a SSD at this time. I have transferred info off of drives that were using windows XP, 7, 8, and 10 as well as plug and play hard drives with no issues. I have not used the cloning functions at this time. The two built in 3.0 USB work fine for transferring data as well as charging other devices. I have not checked out the card reader slots. Despite having a few little bumps at the start. At this time I am still giving it five stars and I would recommend getting it. It's been worth the few extra minutes at the start to save memories that could have been lost.

I must say this is one really good tool if you want to do cloning . With that being said , I have two older hard drives i wanted to pull up off of them and put that information on my computer, things like photos a few games and such.The older HD is a MAXTOR is only a 40 gig drive running windows 98 ATA ,so it is old, the other one is a WESTERN DIGITAL 1.0 TB ATA unit that is not any were near full , any way i wanted to be able to read and see what programs and other information both of these had on them so i could pull what i wanted off of them.the older one would only fit in one slot which was the read from slot, the other one would fit in either slot , neither would show up on my computer so i could pull off what i wanted from them.It seams that you need to have a blank or new hard drive in the front slot known as target slot...then it will read and pull the data off the old one and put it on the blank target hard drive...the target HD need not be brand new but must have enough empty space to store all the data that you are going to pull off the older drive..Every thing on this cloning tool works well and just like it is listed to do, it charged my tablet and cell phone in 10 or 15 minutes, which i fast compared to the wall wort that came with each to use as its charger.So all in all it is good and fast in doing what it says it can do , but for what i need i could not get it to work right, so i returned it back to Amazon via going to Kohl's department store that Amazon is partnered with to make doing a return very easy ,which it was and cost me nothing as they boxed it up and sent it back to Amazon, i had my money back on my credit card in a one day and a 1/2 .Thank You Amazon for such good return service
