Worked great with the drives I had sitting around. One just needed the contacts cleaned under the logic board.

1) Despite the product description claiming that the drive dock supports UASP/TRIM, it will not pass a TRIM command to a mounted SATA SSD drive - Windows reports an error. I used a Samsung 870 QVO SSD in the dock, formatted the drive and made sure I could read and write from the drive. I then attempted to execute a TRIM command from the Powershell command line. It doesn't work, thought the QVO drive can be successfully TRIMmed when attached to a motherboard SATA port.2) The dock has a piercingly loud beeper that sounds when you turn the dock's power switch on. Really loud. Even my microwave oven has the capability to turn off the beeper, but not this thing. Terrible! And there's no light on the front or top of the drive to indicate whether it's on or the drive is being accessed. What were they thinking?

Tried with 1 Seagate Exos 14 TB. Need to connect directly to motherboard USB port for USB3 speeds. Use of extension cable dropped the speed to USB2. Currently able to write ~200MB/s. Only gripe is the loud beep when it got disconnected or connected.

Have had this for a few months now and it's worked perfectly. It's able to take 2.5in HDDs/SSDs and 3.5in HDDs. Haven't had a single issue with it at all.

Fits hard drives as you would expect. Once plugged in it takes a second for drive to get recognized but works well. Once connected I was very surprised how fast it was- I tested 2 others of various brands and this one out performed them all. It is pretty quiet and because of the design- it keeps the drive relatively cool ( which was an issue with the 2 others I tested, they would get pretty hot). Overall very happy and surprised with this docking station- I highly recommend it.

Used for gaming first and backups second (4tb SSD + 4tb HHD)Dislikes: it makes a loud beep when you turn off your PC to let you know the drives are no longer in use. The beep is quite loud.Likes: works, powers two 3.5" drives, allows laptop users to connect to 2.5/3.5" HDDs easily. Latency/transfer speeds are identical to using a SATA connection directly to the motherboard on my desktop.

A data recover "technician" claimed my external hdd was dead/unrecoverable after doing a grand total effort of connecting a sata-to-usb (single) cable into a laptop. Unsatisfied with the answer (I suspected only the usb and power connection sub-board was damaged and not the hdd), I bought this hdd dock. Arrived today, hooked it up to the desktop and plugged in the "dead" hdd.The hdd is 100% fine. The dock is cheap, convenient and does exactly as claimed. The "technician" is someone who'll be getting an angry call and a demand for a refund.Thank you little docking station for saving me a lot of time and grief.
