About this item

  • 【PoE Splitter】: PoE splitter provides Ethernet cable and DC12V power supply to non-PoE devices via a PoE cable from the PoE switch and injection. Provides power and data at the same time for the terminal device does not support PoE.
  • 【Power Over Ethernet Cable】: POE splitter can make non-POE device works via PoE, such as connecting to a non POE camera. Say goodbye to the wiring annoyance of multiple lines by simply connecting one network cable to transmit data and power at the same time.
  • 【Ideal for IP Camera】: This POE separator comes with a waterproof cap, which has excellent waterproof performance and is very suitable for outdoor monitoring camera installation. Supports 100M long-distance transmission, no delay, no disconnection.
  • 【Multiple Protection】: Built in high-frequency transformer and network transformer, compatible with DC voltage 38V-57V standard POE switches, over-voltage protection, short-circuit protection, over-current protection, and Circuit isolation protection. It is more safe and stable.
  • 【Product Specifications】IEEE 802.3af/at compliant. Input voltage: 38V-57V, Input voltage/current: DC 15V/1.2A(Power:15.2W), DC power port: 5.5x2.1MM. TRNF: (1,2)+(3,6)-; (4,5)+(7,8)-.

Bought this PoE Splitter/Adapter due to the form factor, and not for its water resistance, so I cannot speak to the latter. Wanted something in white and smaller than the usual boxy black units out there. Used it to connect a TABLO unit to a UniFi PoE+ switch in order to simplify deployment and also gain remote power control for power resets, if necessary. Installation was a snap, just connected one end of a patch cord to the PoE switch and the other end to the Splitter. The 5.5mm barrel and Ethernet went to the TABLO and done! Unit powered right up with a green LED and so did the TABLO. Tested the TABLO for a few hours with no issues. If you have a need for a low-profile 12V PoE Splitter this one seems to fit the bill. Hopefully the PoE Splitter unit lasts and wont fail but only time will tell. I will update this review should it decide to die on me...

This is indeed not a gigabit-capable PoE splitter, but at least in my experience most cameras that need this also wouldn't benefit from a gigabit connection back to the switch. I'd rather they advertise more honestly but aside from that, this works great for getting a 12V non-PoE camera onto my PoE network without routing power alongside.

Falsely advertised as supporting 1000Mbps; upon visual inspection the connector only has 4 wires, unlike the photo in the product description.

I use a lot of 48V POE systems to route power around my property. And this little adapter has worked nicely to power 12V cameras (that are not natively POE). I can supply them with data, as well as the 12V DC power they need.

The form factor of the POE splitter is convenient since it easily blends into the environment when used with white cables. The cylindrical "bullet" form factor versus having an angular form factor is really nice too. These don't draw the eye which can be nice to keep with unobtrusive. The unit feels well made and does come with waterproofing accessories. I tried it with multiple IEEE 802.3af switches to power it without issue. The rated output power is about 15 watts. As you might expect, pulling the full power from the unit will make it get quite warm to the touch. Depending on your use case, sustained 15W draw without sufficient cooling could cause problems. When I used it outdoors, I put it into a another water protective box or wrap it with self-vulcanizing rubber tape to provide a second layer of protection.

These are not 1Gbe as claimed. The are the same 100Mbps as other water proof ones that are available. Very misleading. Shame because I wanted water proof 1000Mbps. There are legit 1000Mbps Poe splitter but haven’t found one in a waterproof casing.

We have a couple cameras that are decent cameras and when we were upgrading to higher resolution ones we were going to re-task them. That was when I found out that they were not PoE which was a real bummer as there is no power where we were going to relocate them.I came across these and figured I'd grab one and give it a try. I'm overjoyed as it actually works! I'm sure it may depend on the voltage and wattage available to the camera so you have to take that into consideration, but right off the one we tested functioned being powered off a PoE switch.I'll end up grabbing a couple more so we can re-task all of the cameras we upgraded, but very thankful to have found these as we can add some more coverage without having to purchase new cameras. So, if you have a particular camera that you want to deploy that normally takes a power pack, this may be a viable option for you!

I have been using POE splitter for a long time now. Most of them looks similar and not so weather proof, I knew because I have more than one shorten out during heavy rain.Although from the product picture, this POE splitter looks like using the same weather proof design like most of the POE camera included accessory that never works for me as they are too tight and too cumbersome to use, I had some hope this one would work out better. Well, it did not.If basically use the same design and same type of mold that it is still too tight and take too much effort trying to get it all fit together. I gave up at the last step to screw on the last past, it is just too tight. While I may be able to get it screwed on with more force, why should I? At the end I just use the good old insulation tape.Although it failed to be an easy setup for waterproof POE splitter, for the price, it does function as a decent POE splitter and a lot better looking than those typical black bars.
