Without having to remove the whitelist by flashing a custom bios, this is probably the best option for decent wifi on many older ThinkPads. My previous single band card had the letters "BN" written after the product name "AC760NGW" on the front side. This one did not have those two letters, which, if it does (like on my old wifi card) it apparently is single band wifi. This card works flawlessly on my T440P, and was immediately recognized by Debian Linux.

Giving a five star review because the item was well packed and recognized by my W541 -- and the W541 BIOS blocked it from functioning as a blacklisted WLAN card per its own list of "allowed" cards. This in contrary to another customer of this item who said the card worked fine with their W541. To be fair, the item description does not say W541 compatibility - I should have skipped this purchase.

Changed out my Unifi wireless for latest model replacing a model from 2012 era and everything was fine till my laptop wouldn’t connect. After much research I decided to give this product a whirl before just buying a new laptop altogether. Not only did it work beautifully the throughput was on par where it should be. Used in a Lenovo Thinkpad T540p with 0 issues.

It did work for my yoga pro 2 20266, any ways better than the old one. I however had to install the update rather from intel website to avoid the same connection problems I had encountered.

Updated after 3 years and on my 4th card. These cards are pure junk and not what you would expect from Intel. The ONLY reason I continue replacing with the same card is that in some laptops you run into compatibility issues with the motherboard. The drivers work well on these Lenovos so, it's a cheap card and it takes me 5 minutes to change it out, the same drivers work and we keep plugging forward. We do keep several of these cards in stock now so that when they start failing we can just swap and go. If you're just swapping out it'll work for a year or so. if you're looking for a good card, avoid this one.

My T440p came with a card that only allowed 2.4Ghz connection which did not work well enough at work so I purchased this to allow me to connect to 5Ghz connections. Very easy install which took less than 10 mins. Works perfectly.

I bought this after upgrading my Lenovo Thinkpad T440p and using it more. I discovered the WiFi card that came with it only worked on 2.4Ghz WiFi connections and not 5Ghz, which work and home use. After researching the forums and looking around I found a listing of satisfactory replacement part numbers that did not require further upgrades. I located this card and purchased it and installed it upon receiving it. I also made sure I was on the current BIOS update just to be sure. Worked like a charm!I had the correct drivers already so no need to update them. And my internet connection is slightly, but noticeably faster. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
