I bought this item to split the internet going into a point of sale computer and a credit card terminal. The splitter caused the computer to run slow and lock up the register and credit card terminal.

I ran into needing to have Ethernet available to setup drivers and update bios on my new builds, because I don't always buy Motherboards with Wifi. In a pinch I grabbed a 5 port switch to get the job done, but it was unnecessary for my needs, so I returned it once this arrived. Speeds seem to be unchanged, but I am not pushing anything to the limits, so hard to say how much degradation of speed there is running it through this. All and all nice little gadget if you just need one more line.

I have used this for about a few months and I have had major connection issues with it. It’s really easy to install and I get about the same Internet speed that I am paying for. The only thing that happens occasionally is I get disconnected for like a min or two but then comes back. Happens like every few days and I can’t seem to figure out why.
