We have to remind you:
1. This water pump with hose is designed to handle clear water. Any of the following can clog the pump or damage the pump system:
Physical obstruction such as sand, dirt, debris or water scale/rust.
Caustic liquids like salt water, brine, laundry discharge or any other liquid containing caustic chemicals and/or foreign materials.
Flammable or explosive fluids such as gasoline, fuel oil, kerosene, etc.
2. Do not run the pump dry. Before using it for the first time, or before reusing it after a long time has elapsed, add an appropriate amount of clean water from the pump head water inlet/outlet. Water injection is to lubricate and make the space sealing better.
3. This hose pump is not a submersible pump. Do not submerge it in water or other liquids.
4. When the water pump runs for a while, the pump will become hot (the temperature is generally around 55 ° C). This is normal, please don't worry.
5. In general, the pump will stop running if the discharge head is beyond 40 feet or the pump is running dry. In this case, the pump can restart in 20 minutes. So, when your pump stops operation, please check and confirm as following:
The discharge head is lower than 40 feet. That is, the height of the outlet of hose isn't higher than 40 feet.
The pump hasn't been running dry. Please prime the pump with water from the inlet/outlet of the pump before the initial use.
After the check and confirmation, please restart the pump in 20 minutes.

To start, this pump does what it says... It pumps water pretty quickly @ level or near level. I don't currently have a means to test exact lift height or GPM.It's small, compact, & very portable."In" & "Out" of the pump are clearly marked.Pickup screen & hose lead is a nice add-on. It not only helps secure the pickup hose, it also helps get the intake water much lower than the hose by itself.Standard garden hose fittings are very convenient.For issues/concerns...1) No formal safety Certification for North America to help ensure safety compliance & minimize electrocution risks.2) No water proof power switch! This means plugging & unplugging manually, likely in a wet/damp environment & likely w/ wet hands, perhaps even standing in water... Not the wisest of situations.3) No GFCI! This, too, is a significant safety deficiency, in my opinion. Nor any indication of having "double insulation". Especially considering what this product is used for.4) Ratings on the product listing are incorrect. States DC when it obviously is not... Begs the question what other critical quality control issues exist w/ the product's construction & its specs. I also see no "Duty Cycle" stated, yet I believe it also references "Intermittent use".5) Product's suggested uses on the listing show "Dead Heading" (Ie. Stopping water flow via hose nozzle or valve while leaving the pump running). This is typically a HUGE no-no on liquid pumps, unless they're specifically designed for it. Especially when QUICKLY shutting off the flow, etc. due to "Hammer effect". Damage to the pump, sheered/damaged impeller blades, overheating, & even damage to the motor can result.6) Both sides of pump require FEMALE hose fittings. This is counter-intuitive, requiring additional fittings if this is to be used w/o their special pickup screen. Ie. installed in-line to pump from a plumbed rain barrel.7) Lots of other design opportunities, which I'll skip, as I feel they're out of scope for what this pump is intended for.Summary: I don't think I'd purchase this pump again for all the reasons outlined above. While it's worked so far for clean water, I feel the "Appropriate" use-cases are dramatically overshadowed by the safety-related risks & concerns w/ this particular pump design.That said, I'd only recommend this product to somebody familiar enough w/ electrical hazards to only use on GFCI outlets & will only use it for an appropriate situations it's designed for... Not necessarily all of the uses the product listing suggests...

This pump is a lifesaver for our large aquarium! It’s powerful, easy to use, and removes water quickly and efficiently. I would not recommend this pump for anyone doing any serious work. The pump shorted out after only pumping 30 gallons of antifreeze.

I got this pump when I had problems with the dishwasher draining as a stopgap measure until I could get it repaired. The dishwasher had stopped emptying and needed to be taken apart and cleaned (again).The first pump I received from Amazon blew the circuit breaker (right out of the box) as soon as it was plugged in. I contacted customer service and they shipped out a replacement right away and that one worked fine, without problems. So, if your need is urgent and can’t wait a couple of extra days, if necessary, maybe choose a different one. Otherwise, this one is fine.

This is a good moderate flow rate pump. If you want to move water using a tube vs a submersible pump this is a good choice.

This pump moves a lot of water quickly. Holds good pressure and is a real asset. Good value for the money, easy to use just need a couple of short hoses. Good quiet operation works for almost any application of liquid, just not flammables.
