I had about 2 feet of standing water that I needed to pump out of a cistern. This pump took care of the problem in a few hours. It is totally submersible and runs very quietly. I would highly recommend this pump if you have a flooded basement or any other area where you need to remove relatively clean water.

This pump is great! I can’t believe how fast it pumped water away from my house! Was done in less than an hour! So very happy with it

Purchased one 3 weeks ago and it ran poorly and died. After it died, I noticed that one of the screws on the bottom was gone and the gasket under the screw was sticking out like it had been repaired and hastily reassembled. So I asked Amazon for a replacement which just arrived today. When I removed the replacement pump from the package, it was all scratched up and had water inside of it. These pumps are not new. Apparently, they are ones that someone else previously returned as defective and they are being dumped on amazon.

I used the pump for descaling my 50 gallon hot water tank. I made 2- 8foot hoses which are 3/4" diameter. I used 13gallons of vinegar. Ran the pump for 8hours. the pump was completely submerged in the water. The pump was warm to touch after 8hrs of use. YES I recommend this pump!!!

Recently, my home town raised our water rates almost 300%.I like to raise some veggys and flowers in the Summer, so I checked out if a small pump like this would pump from a small stream that runs through my property. The Wayne company support was the only place that would talk to me. They spent quite a lot of time helping me.Little Giant wouldn't even answer my messages.I needed a pump that would pump a few gallons a minute to a head of 10 feet and through a hose close to 200 feet long at the maximum. This little pump sits in the stream submerged and it pumps over 5 gallons a minute at a head of 5-6 feet through a hose 150 feet long. The head is the water discharge height above the stream. I can go to over 200 feet at a head of 10-12 feet and the water volume get less, but it still works fine. You can't use sprinklers or anything that restricts flow, that would cause the pump to overheat. I just let it soak in.Using a Watt meter I have, I figured that the water costs me less than 5% of what the town is charging, and the water is much better for plants than treated water.I can leave this pump on for hours and it doesn't even get warm.
