Not as good as Milwaukee products but for the few times a year I use it’s fine

I like that this is so compact and high quality. You can feel that it is made well and is going to last for a long time. The battery is a great feature, no longer needing a power cord or generator. It pumps a lot, 500GPH is all I needed. Very happy with it, it works great. Ideal solution for what I needed; a battery powered portable water transfer pump.

Compartment for battery can only fit up to 5amp. Can only use on low because medium will shut it down. Very disapointed

This water transfer pump has two male Garden Hose Thread connections made on. The inlet and outlet are identified with the letters molded into the red housing in the same red plastic so it is not easy to see. I recommend taking a sharpie and writing "IN" & "OUT" near the port to make it easier to see. The suction attachment has some weight to it, so it will stay in place at the bottom of the pool or pail that you are pumping water from. The pump has a protective battery housing with a splash-resistant lid to protect the battery from water. The housing is big enough for a M18 5 amp hour battery. The 8 amp hour battery is too big to fit. The pump works with my genuine Milwaukee M18 2aH or 5aH battery and an aftermarket 5aH M18 compatible battery as well. You will need to provide your own battery and hoses.

If you've had much experience with pumps, chances are you've had to prime one at some point. It's a pain, right? No need for that here, as this is self priming! By far its best feature.Power is actually pretty good, thanks to the brushless motor. Had no problem with my smaller M18 batteries, but my big 9.0Ah doesn't fit. I took -1 star for only accommodating smaller batteries. This is a pump. Depending on the situation, it might have to run a LONG TIME. So the ability to accept any M18 battery, from the smallest to the biggest, should be standard, in my opinion. It works well, is made well, is brushless, and is self-priming. It checks almost all the boxes, until you try to shove a large high capacity battery in it, and then, no dice. So, if you get this to do a lot of pumping, you might want to make sure you have extra M18 batteries on hand. 4 stars.

Occasionally, we experience water seepage into our basement during heavy storms. This cordless unit is a great solution for managing those occasional instances when we need a quick solution to catch am influx of shallow water. It handles very low water levels, much more efficient than our standard sump pump. You do have to supply your own Milwaukee battery. The unit itself is lightweight and seems sturdy. The battery compartment is a bit tough to open, and you have to be careful to push it closed evenly from both sides.
