This pump has been in service for 3 months. The float switch broke off under normal use. It slides up and down along a shaft, which, incredibly, is a narrow plastic bar. How such a flimsy part is used in a heavy-duty machine is beyond belief. I've contacted the manufacturer to request a replacement and have received no response.

Seems to be well made and was easily installed. Time will tell if it holds up as expected

I have an atypical installation use case for this pump but it definitely takes more abuse than what most people will use it for. Our house in Florida has a tendency to take on water due to the county raising the roadway above the door level of our house. Luckily we have enough of a runway to the house to help absorb some of the rainwater but a downpour, especially a sustained one, is problematic. We built two sump pits in the yard, one on each side. Each is fed by the house gutters as well as linear drains so when it pours A LOT of water gets into these pumps. They pump the water back up the grade into storm drains and as long as we have power, we’re good. This was a replacement for a bigger name brand and way more expensive model that has failed multiple times. They warrantied it but only for so long and I think three years is a low number for a warranty when the unit fails annually. This was a drop in replacement. I had electrical already run as well as the drain pipe so swapping it was easy. I like the float they use A LOT more than the other one. The vertical float is a wonderful upgrade. When we get heavy rains, and those gutters are not just dumping water but leaves and small debris as well, this kicked on and shot the water out of the ejection pipe…which is a flexible 2” discharge that runs about 50’ to the street. Phenomenal job, tons of power with the 3/4 hp motor, easy to install and a really good deal for the money. Worth every penny.
Not very strong to hang close on

Works fine however in my case it would have been beneficial if the base would rotate so I would be able to pick where the float would be located

This is perfect. I have to pump water out of my back yard during heavy rains.

Heavy pump and easy to install. Did not need a 2” out flow - reduced it to 1.5”, new pipe, new check valve and working fine. Time will tell regarding longevity. Original pump lasted 28 years (brand ?). Extremely quiet but location where installed would not matter anyway.

Got this for my husband since he does plumbing for a living. Works just as well as those more expensive ones. Nice sturdy machine that gets the job done fast.
