Liked well builtDisliked when using in 55 galloon grey water tank float does reach high enough to make it workSo i purchased a stainless steel flat piece with many holes bent it at the top at 90 degrees attached it to existing mount and moved the float down half way down side of pump..Float now comes on sooner as to pump. Worked great for smaller tanks and has plenty of adjustment holes

In the spring time I pump 15,000 gallons a day! My old sump pumps from Home Depot (Ridgid brand JUNK) would last about 2 years and 8 seconds (just past the warranty) and die. This pump just goes and goes and goes. Get a sewage pump not a sump pump, they last much longer. I also went to a 2" output since I can pump way more water than the JUNK Ridgid pump.

Pump failed and upon attempting to trouble shoot, found the impeller had fallen apart and came off pump so pump was running, but not pumping. There is a one year warranty, but it came with no paperwork on how to return for replacement. I am Working with company now and will update this if I have good results.UPDATE: Company customer service is excellent and after jumping thru the paperwork hoops they refunded my money. Another SEL50 was purchased to replace less than 6 months ago and not the replacement has failed with the same exact issue - the impeller falls too/apart. Another has now been purchased and I am, again, working with customer service. 12/6/2022

I purchased this Wayne 57333-WYN4 SEL50 1/2 hp Thermoplastic Sewage Pump as a replacement for a cast iron pump used to circulate water. The run of my water line is 20 feet using 1 inch diameter tubing with a rise of 15 feet and the water flow is quite strong. This device is being utilized all year round in temps typical for the Mid-Atlantic. I've been impressed with the strong water flow. There is no delay when the on/off float is triggered. I've had the pump for 6 months now and hoping it will last for years.

I replaced a similar Wayne pump of the same horsepower with this pump. This pump is much lighter in weight than my first one. The first pump lasted eleven years. Since the new pump has been in operation for only about two months I cannot speak to the longevity of this one but I bought it based upon the longevity and performance of the first one. Setting the pump is the easy part, the plumbing is more difficult. I am 80 years old and managed to successfully install the pump and so far it is operating as well as my original.
