La bomba llegó dañada y la descripción del producto es incorrecta el cable no mide 25 pies como dicen lo que me confirma que me enviaron una versión más barata de la bomba que se encargó.

I live in an area that has experienced a rising water table for the last 28 years. 15 years ago, I had to replace the basement sump pump. I purchased the first one I found at the local hardware store and proceeded to have multiple episodes of jammed floats, plugged inlets, and, ultimately, a full failure within a year or two. Then came pumps two, three, four, and five, each one more expensive than the last, and each one equally problematic. Then, 8 years ago, I found a dingy-looking green Zoeller pump at a garage sale. The owner said it worked fine, so I snagged it as a backup. Within a few months, it was installed in my basement and working problem-free. That remained true until I replaced it last month with the very same make and model. These pumps are industrial quality, durable, and problem free. I've owned too many sump pumps to count, and will never install anything other than a Zoeller in the future. Five Stars.

The half horse pump itself works very well, is well made, has a metal cast iron painted upper body for the motor housing and top of the impeller. The bottom impeller housing uses a fairly thick reinforced plastic material. I like that the pump uses a side water intake as opposed to the bottom intake model my older pump from a different manufacturer used. The design, I think, will prevent the pump from most of the bottom silt that accumulates in the pump well.I had to get a replacement model on the first shipment because the pump is packed very poorly in flimsy cardboard - just a pair of folder cardboard supports to hold the housing centered. My first shipment arrived with a cracked plastic bottom due to rough handling - the side of the box had a hole where the pump clearly was jerked around - but that's due to very poor protection in the box. When I opened the container, two of the plastic feet were broken off a 1" chunk of of the reinforced plastic was lying a the bottom of the box - the rest was cracked - looks like it fell. It's a cast iron pump so heavy.Install was relatively easy - I had to shorten my outflow pipe because the pump's base was higher than my previous model. The replacement arrived double boxed with lots of padding which worked well. Zoeller should really look at improved packaging to protect the bottom of the pump more during shipping. So far, so good - the pump is quiet and effective, pleased with my purchase.

I bought this on recommendation from a professional and don't regret it. It is whisper quite, heavy and does not vibrate. A 1000 times improvement over the previously installed big box product.Setting up and installation was a breeze. It is a fairly heavy product, almost 35 pounds. However the packaging is bad. I mean really bad. It is a flimsy cardboard box with a foam support in the bottom which means it should only be handled upright. There are instructions to that effect. Guess what, once that is re-boxed into Amazon box - which as flimsy as flimsy could get, and looses the 'this side up' note. The holes you see in the picture are where the electric cable meets the metal body of the pump. Cable is rubber and plastic - not designed to handle to rough and tumble. The product I received has the cable stripped. Fortunately, it sits above water level and a little electric tape came in handy. It is a potential disaster - that I will deal with when it happens.

So pump arrived damaged , seemed to have been dropped and the plastic impeller housing broke. Which by the description should have been cast iron not plastic. Luckily I was able to use the part off my old pump on the new one. Now in the hole pumping water like it is supposed to. Oh, speedy next day shipping and good price.

After looking at a myriad of sump pumps online, I decided on the Zoeller. I asked a couple different plumbers what they recommended and they both said Zoeller. They have been around forever and are considered tops in the market. I can’t imagine having a flooded basement, so I spent my money on the Zoeller along with a battery backup system. It installed nicely and was a pretty quick and forward job. 15 minutes is all it takes, I had to shorten my pipe by a couple inches that was it. The backup system took about another 15 minutes. The plumber wanted $500 for a 15 minute job, talk about highway robbery! Worse than mechanics. Once you pull the old one out, it’s just a matter of loosening the pipe clamp and swapping units. This pump is heavy duty, cast iron and looks to be built well. Tried and true. I am glad I didn’t cheap out on this one. I have peace of mind now and the money I saved doing it myself paid for the battery backup setup with an AGM battery.. I feel good about that as well. Solid pump, recommended by me and a couple of plumbers.

We live on waterfront and experience very high water levels thru the winter and spring. Got tired of buying and returning box-store pumps. (previous year went thru 3 pumps) - that's big time water pumping from the sump pit when the water level is high. Purchased Zoeller mainly because I checked with a pro plumbing company and that's the brand they install for their customers (at a much higher price). This pump is quiet, with a low satisfactory hummmm, no grinding sounds, no vibration. It is powerful and efficient (fast to empty water). It fells heavy and sturdy. Overall very pleased. I must also add that during the high water season we do a bit of regular maintenance (about every 2-3 weeks) of the sump pit. Inspect the pit for debris, small stones etc on a regular basis. Shop vac the bottom (our bottom is concrete). Take care of this baby and it will take care of you.

I originally ordered this sump pump after doing some research to determine the best pump on the market. After ordering I was told delivery would take about 4 months. I cancelled the order and went to home Depot where I bought a Rigid 1/2 hp sump pump without doing any research because I was concerned about the old pump float often jamming and didn't want to have a problem in the spring in an area where flooding occurs and getting a pump could be a problem if it failed at the wrong time. I installed it and it seemed O.K. After the fact (I know - dumb!) I read some reviews of the Rigid pump and was amazed how badly it was rated, mostly because of rusting bolts. I decided to re-order the Zoeller pump to replace the Rigid when it got here. Delivery came within weeks (not months). The pump was clearly superior in that it was solid and had no exterior bolts to rust out. I replaced the Rigid pump and was surprisd to see the Rigid had already started to rust after only a few weeks. The Zoeller seems more solid in construction, runs almost whisper quietly and at least initially I already have a high degree of confidence it will do the job for years.
