This UV lens filter seems to be made as well as any other UV filter I've seen or used. The outer ring is metal and screws nicely onto my lens and the lens cap fits snug. Adding other filters such as ND or CPL filters is easy and there are no issues with the treads.

Quality filter. Seems well made with clean threads and was actually really slim as described.

It is slim but not to the degree that I need.

This item did take a while to come via USPS... But when it did come I was happy... It was just what I needed. The packaging was professional, clean, and everything was packaged well. The fit and finish was good, a lot of attention to detail and quality material was used. I know a lot of people use filters just as a lens protector, but I use them for the actual purpose they are made for. This fits the bill just right with clear images, and excellent UV filtration, no glare, smooth clean light, and accurate color. This is a brand, and filter I would recommend for pro's and amateurs alike.

I was unfamiliar with the Walking Way brand of filters since I normally go for K&F, Tiffen, or even Amazon Basics, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how well-made Walking Way's UV filter was when I received it, especially how thin it is! I wanted to protect my wide-angle converter for my X100-series camera and was glad to see that there was no fitment issue with the Fujifilm lens cap it came with, despite how thin it was. In my testing, there was no noticeable affect on lens flaring or overall optical quality when I compared photos with and without the filter on. I'll have to consider Walking Way for my lens filter needs in the future!

I am a huge believer in protection filters. Once you take your camera out into the world, between airborne dust and sand, fingers, rocks, etc.—I’ve cracked several filters over the years, and my lens front elements all still look pretty new. I’ve also always bought nice cameras, and felt that the very slight amount of contrast or resolution lost due to having a filter there was worth it, but good filters were expensive. The last few years I’ve been buying “new to me” companies’ filters, universally made in China, that have consistently out-performed the generation-old filters I have from premium German and Japanese companies—better contrast, less flaring. I do like brass rings, but the aluminum rings have been nicely machined. And these newer generation filters cost considerably less—so, I’m a fan. This Walking Way filter is no exception. I took a few comparison pictures last evening, with the sun just out of the frame, and the colors were a hair more saturated (closer to the no filter photos) than with the filter I had been using. The 4 star rating is based on my not knowing how good the current crop of top tier filters (well, I mean the expensive ones) are; I’d give this a solid 5 stars if I take cost into consideration.

You don't have to buy expensive filters anymore to get excellent quality. Multicoated glass with 99+% light transmittance used to be in the realm of $50+, even more. No IQ penalty for this filter.
