Received days before tracking was scheduled to. Packaging was good. Cheaper than other sites. Tried them on and they are pretty comfortable. Sound was good and reaction time to loud noise. Still need to try them at the range.

I bought this thinking that it would provide active audio and then mute during firing. That is not what this unit does it allows for the feed in of an audio signal. Not useful on a range. I also find the fit very tight so uncomfortable to wear for any period. As a basic sound suppressor it does the job just not the one I thought I was getting.

It's surprising - it needs to be driven by something powerful, a DAC, maybe even amplifier - a phone (a relatively good one) doesn't cut it really. By this and my DAC - it's a match made in heaven. Best headphones I ever owned. Now, ear protection, all their features? Well the audio is seperate from that. And I found it being off a much nicer experience (so quiet). When turned on it's a weird thing and I don't like that experience! So it seems the batteries would last me for ages :)

Don't send these back - the instructions included with my Recon muffs are simply WRONG concerning the on/off procedure for these muffs, and the process is NOT INTUITIVE. It took me some frustrating time searching the internet to find the right process - minus 1 star! Shame on you Walker, you would get better reviews with correct instructions!Here's the correct way (after inserting the batteries of course) ....TO TURN ON: press the volume control in and hold for several seconds - it will click when you've pressed it in far enough. You should hear a set of tones rising in pitch: do-ray-me-fa, followed by background hiss indicating the muffs are on. Roll the volume control up or down to adjust. The volume control has no physical stops - another set of tones will indicate you have reached the maximum or minimum volume.TO TURN OFF: press and hold in the volume control as before. You will hear a hear a set of lowering pitch tones: fa-me-ray-do. Release and the muffs are off.Update: At the range, the sound reduction feature works well - sometimes too well! I dropped a metal tool on the shooting bench and the 'clunk' was enough to trigger (briefly) the cut-off feature of these phones. Meanwhile, conversations were easily heard.

Currently looking for the box. This particular set needs to be returned. But I can’t find the box. First set of Walkers to fail. We’ve purchased a dozen of Walker earpro for friends and family over the years. Hopefully this one is an outlier.
