I’ve always wanted to start a fire from scratch. This kit and a bit of elbow grease got me there. Have fun.

Takes some getting used to to get it to work properly but once you get it figured out it takes next to no effort to start a fire

Works great! I had to scratch some of the paint off before it would strike good. The only other thing is I wish it was a little bit longer in length of the paracord that attaches the 2 pieces.

We got this fire starter to keep for emergencies. It look much better in person than we expected and really good quality. It has a good grip and seems very durable. It’s lightweight and easy to keep in one of your bug out bags or on a keychain if you needed to. I wanna buy a couple more of these to have for emergencies. You can never have too many because you never know what could happen.

With a strike here and a strike there, you have fire! Best to get a buffing wheel to clean off the paint coating first, so it is ready when you need it!

The striker is inadequate, and the rod needs to be "broken in" in order to work properly. I will keep this as a possible back up, but will continue to look for a better solution.
