This is the second one I bought. I accidentally left the other one at a campsite. Easily starts my camp stove.

Incredibly useful gadget. It’s small but holds a fair amount of weight. As for the lighter, it’s not a true ferro rod so it won’t light just anything on fire, but it does work with cotton, paper, oil, or anything else highly flammable. Very easy to use and has the added bonus of being pretty.

Looks exactly as picture, got it in blue for my brother and in black for my dad and I. Use it on my keys.

I honestly expected something this gimmicky to be pretty crappy, but it's actually pretty legit. It's going with my camping gear. And load 100lbs capacity? Impressive. I can actually hang my full pack with it.The only downside MIGHT be the weird little blade. But it might also be that I just haven't learned to use it correctly.(If anyone is wondering about the sparker, you can buy replacement flints anywhere they sell the classic windproof refillable lighters. But it does come with 2 extra fints.)

Pretty-much as advertised. Good clip.I got this mainly because the cheap carabiner I as using for my keys was ...failing, and I wanted something better that could also provide utility for my new bike-camping hobby--in this case, the ability to start a fire. That aspect seems to work--haven't had the chance to actually start a fire yet, but it does make very good sparks that I suspect would do just that. Two 'issues' I find with this however:1. How long will the spark thing work? There are instructions on how to take out the rod that provides this function and replace it--but I'm not sure how/where you would get a replacement (granted, I haven't even looked into this yet).2. The tiny holes for the key-rings are just that: tiny, the existing ring you have for your keys may not fit (like mine didn't). Fortunately I had a smaller ring on my key-ring that works.Overall, still very good for my use: a carabiner for my keys that I can use to help start a campfire--with the added bonus of a separate hole for the keyring so they can't accidentally come out of the clip.

Now that the crew no longer carries lighters, we were looking for a solution to lighting the camp stove. We would forget lighters and matches can get wet. This is great. We have clipped it onto the handle of the stove. Since it doesn't have fuel and we are only using it when out in the woods, it should last a really long time. I am super happy to have found this little tool and I will totally be giving it as a gift.

My wife got this for me as a gift for Christmas. I do like it - it's an attractive piece of gear with some cool factor. It weighs 1.1oz which isn't huge but ounces add up and if you're going ultralight a soft shackle is probably more useful. If you aren't going ultralight, why not carry an actual (ideally locking) carabiner? This one has a strong steel wire gate, but it just rests against a U-shaped depression - there's no "ledge" to prevent it from stretching under load.In terms of functions, it has two small holes on one end for hanging things but better plan to use bank line or similar because they're just a bit too small to easily thread 550 paracord through them. It has a fire sparker which is pretty neat, but instead of taking standard lighter flints it uses some type of very thin rod-shaped flint. It does come with two replacements but so far I haven't figured out where you'd get more.Moving around the curve, it has a blade for cutting things but it's embedded in a V-shaped notch for safety. 550 does just fit in there but not with enough room for any type of slicing action, so it's tricky to cut things with it. I suppose it would cut seat belts fine if you wanted something for your car. And finally, it has a flat head screwdriver... but blade is too broad to be used for small tasks while being too shallow/short to be used on bigger screws. So if you wouldn't use it for lightweight backpacking, full-gear camping, EDC multi-tool replacement, or any of that, what is it good for? Well, it definitely makes a cool-looking (if big) keychain. And it might be a nice thing to keep in an emergency toolkit in a car... It's definitely attractive, just... not that useful.
