I like the professional use of this device. Now my Dashcam starts recording as soon as I start the engine. No more use for a visible power plug. After installation the cameral is discreetly placed and almost invisible. This is actually a "must-have" companion with the Viofo dashcam. Very satisfied.

Great hardwire kit! It wired straight up with a little youtubing/instruction manual reading. No issues 3 months in.

Excellent dashcam, kinda pricey but that’s what you pay for security. The fit can be tricky but it’s possible to get a nearly hidden look. It took me a couple of hours, but I mounted the dash cam with the wire hidden, and this was my first time installing one.Pro Tip: Take a look at chrisfix’s video on how to install a dashcam, really helpful and gave me a good starting point for installation.

I hardwired my 2010 Ford Escape with a Viofo A229 Dash Cam. Easy install if you know what your doing. Has worked great for me so far.

It was easy to install and well put together kit. Would recommend a bit more detail in the documentation on how can one find a power source, ACC source and ground so it's easier on a novice DIY.

It has every fuse option that you might need, and plenty of wire to work with. I used it in a f150 2017 and it's working well.

Failed in less than 3 months. Unit will power camera on & off spontaneously. Camera works fine with USB. Unreliable, now I can’t use certain features on my device.**** Update: Less than 24hrs after my initial review: Viofo reached out to me to get me a replacement unit. Their warranty is amazing, and customer service put this over the top. Unit is working great again!

1. Make sure your ground connection is secure! I had some issues with the A329 not entering parking mode properly. The ground connection was sufficient to power the dashcam but not reliable enough to activate parking mode. 2. The fuse taps are directional and must be inserted correctly to limit current as intended, so make sure you know which side is hot. Check YouTube for instructions if you’re unsure. 3. Get a fuse tester. My Fluke multimeter tips wouldn’t fit, and fuse testers are much easier to use. They’re also a great tool to keep in your vehicle for quick roadside diagnostics. They’re inexpensive and can be found on Amazon for around $10.
