Installation steps
Find the Correct Fuse Slot
Open the fuse box, find the correct fuse slot for your hardwire kit. If you need to find an ignition switched fuse, put the key in the vehicle, find the fuse which is not lit up while the car is off, and test it by turning the car on to see if it lights up. If your kit requires constant power, turn off the car and remove the key to see which fuse slots stays lit on.
Connect the Red Wire
Once you've determined which fuse slots you need to use for your hardwiring kit you can crimp the red wire of your hardwire kit onto the Add-A-Fuse. Gently remove the fuse you identified. Install the fuse you just removed into the installation kit add-a-fuse circuit. Plug the add-a-circuit into the fuse box in the correct orientation.
Ground the Hardwiring Kit
Slip the black wire (which is in the shape of a C) under a metal bolt or screw in your vehicle (this is the ground wire). Check that it is not attached onto plastic parts. You will typically need a socket wrench to loosen the nut or bolt that you choose to ground with. To attach the grounding terminal, loosen the nut or bolt enough to slip it in and tighten it back up afterwards.

It provides one fuse holder to protect original circuit and provides a lead with the second fuse holder for new circuit.

This kit is super easy to install, and the cord length is more than enough (understatement, I had so much extra cord lol). I never used a kit like this before but after watching a YouTube video I installed it with an apeman dash cam (make sure to check if your cam is micro usb or usb c to make sure you get the kit that has the right compatibility ) and it works flawless. The kit is good quality as my dash cam runs 24/7 with no hiccups now. The value is great because if something ever happens to my car I’ll know that it’s been recorded, whether I was in the car or not.

My mistake for not being careful reading the product description, but potential purchasers should be aware. The "FitDVR" power adapter that works with a power port in the car mirror housing is easier to use (when you have a compatible car).Otherwise, is it a complete kit which installs as expected. The cables are very long, and so there's no problem finding a route for them to travel to get to the fusebox. There are four plugs to match with different kinds of fuses, so it will work in a variety of different car models. Overall a good system for your needs, if you are aware of its limitations.

Installed unit as per instructions. Went away for a couple of days and battery was dead. Thought perhaps I left something else on but vehicle has Battery drain protection for all standard features. After taking to a shop to have the battery looked at, it was discovered that this unit was draining the battery at an usually speed regardless if the Camara was plugged in. As soon I removed this unit the drain stop. I have since replaced this with a different hardwire kit, and their has been no drain on the battery.

Used for Vantrue S1 4K Dash Cam Front and Rear, 1080P Dual GPS Dash Camera with 24 Hours Parking Monitor system. Must have for the 24hr parking monitor system since this avoids draining your battery when your vehicle engine is off/vehicle parked. Easy to install, but somewhat takes time to locate and identify your vehicles fuse box. You need to familiarize yourself with the fuse box schematics and identify what fuse to use for this accessory. Also, go to a auto parts store for spare fuses prior to using the ones you will try. Not a tech person, but this was easy to install (less than 40-minutes without any distractions).

The product design itself and all the included adaptors is great! What should have been an easy install turned somewhat frustrating. After installing I confirmed that I had a good 12 volt supply but it was not supplying the 5v volts to the dash cam. I checked and rechecked everything and this was not my frist time doing this type of work. I even checked my battery voltage which read 12.6 volts. After checking everything I finally started the car and it worked. It seems that the sensor that checks for 11.6V is not quite accurate! I hope this saves someone frustration. Again, overall a good product and would have given it 5 stars if this did not happen.

The quality seems good, I felt the value for money was pretty good. It was very easy to install. The problem is it is not compatible with my new dash cam I need a 3 lead hardwire kit, this only has 2 leads. There is plenty of wire to be able to hide it under trim so that it is not blocking the driver’s sight at all.

Product seems high quality. Installation was straightforward. I purchased this "single lead" kit for my Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2 because I did not need or want the Parking Mode feature. I used an "Accessory" fuse. The dash cam worked fine, but I noticed it turn off after a few minutes, then back on a few minutes later, and then back on... Garmin (understandably) does not support 3rd party installation kits. They were not helpful except to point out in their literature that 3rd party cables are not compatible with Garmin products. I went ahead and bought the Garmin Parking Mode cable ($35) and installed it using Accessory fuses for both the battery (normally always powered) and Accessory leads as I do not want the device powered when the vehicle is off. So far, so good. No issues with the device cycling on and off. When you start the car, the camera comes on. When you shut the vehicle off, the camera is off. Not sure why the other cable kit didn't work with the Garmin, but I had issues. 5 stars, though, for what appears to be a good quality kit.
