I tend to get mice in my basement and have found 2 things to work: Sticky traps, which are a bit nasty and these traps. These traps are easy to set up and clean out. The only minus I've noticed is that if the mouse comes at it from the side it might get it's head stuck in the side bar and thrash it's way out. Other than that, it's a good mouse killing machine.

I purchased this trap with one other style trap. It caught one! Normal traps only fed the mouse because it was too small to trigger the trap. It was easy to set. Has a hole to put the bait in so the mouse has to step all the way on the trigger.

In my opinion, are these are the best mouse traps I have ever used. They work very well, and no worries about hurting your fingers trying to set them. They set extremely easy and even if they catch your finger they don't hurt. I just caught a medium sized rat with one which was totally unexpected. Yeah, it dragged the trap across the garage several feet, but it was dead when I found it in the morning.

Sorry, little guys, but it had to be done. I am happy that you did not suffer. These traps work well. They are easy to set. I use peanut butter. Gets them all the time. If you buy the box of six, set them out, and dedicate a week - better two, you will eliminate all the mice in your world without poison. There is no need to kill the natural predators of mice with poison as they eat the mice, too. Use these traps instead. Make it a sport, and you will get a sense of satisfaction from success. They are reusable. Just drop the mice into the bin. There is an easy latch, so you never have to touch the mice. Get them! Ultimately, mice will come back over time, but it may take two years after you catch them all. Or get a cat, as that works too. ;-)

these have worked great. I had once mouse that was trapped but not killed and it was eating the trap in an attempt to survive. I put the mouse out of its misery but it would have died within the trap even though it did not have a clean kill. I had a terrible mouse problem this year in my garage and I bought several of these traps and they worked amazingly. there have been two missed kills but overall the success rate is extremely high and I would highly recommend them

Delivery was very slow for this item, but I have to say the quality of the product is very good. I can also confirm it works as designed and disposal of occupant is easy without catching fingers. I have found putting peanut butter in the bait receptacle, works well. The trap is different to classic designs, instead of the pest putting weight on the pressure plate, a plastic flap is lifted so they can get access to the bait which sets the trap off.By the way No Cheese was hurt or damaged while using this product!

Living in the country, it’s in evitable to get occasional mice. These traps are easy to load will not trigger when you’re placing them or if you bump them by accident, you simply put the bait in the bait compartment lift up the bar and they’re ready to go!!! The little red tab on top of the bar makes releasing the dead mice a breeze, so it’s truly a reusable trap. This product deserves 10 stars

Living in an area where there is essentially nothing you can do to deter mice, not even multiple cats, I have had to learn quickly what works and what doesn't.Our first invasion, we used live traps. These worked well at first, but eventually the mice got wise and they no longer helped.Traditional traps actually scare me - I got my finger once when I was a young child and that fear never went away. We set those up, but half the time the bait would go missing without setting the trap off, and once the trap needed to be reset it would have to wait for someone else not me to reset it. Add to that having to avoid putting them in areas where pets might set them off, and they are useless. We tried this type, and quickly - within days - got the infestation situation under control. Baited with either bread or peanut butter, these work 99.9% of the time they are investigated, but the cover of the bait well keeps larger pets from getting to the bait and setting it off. The setting of the trap is easy and intuitive, with far less risk of having fingers get caught, so I myself am able to reset any trap quickly, and without fear. This allows us to put these traps anywhere, without regard to pets' reach. (We have a terrier though that has learned what the sound of the trap snapping means and will dart to the trap and try to take off with the mouse. It is rather funny watching, and seeing him with a mouse hanging out of his mouth and a trap hanging off the mouse is both hilarious and disturbing. But it speaks volumes about how securely this trap holds the mouse... no escape!)When a new wave of mice showed up recently, we couldn't find the traps like this from the previous wave (probably the terriers fault?) So we ordered more. 13 mice in 2 days, and we have seen no mice or new evidence of them since. This time we are keeping the traps out and baited BEFORE another comes in and breeds. Will never use another type of trap again if I can continue finding these. Local stores stopped carrying them, so thanks amazon!
