Product was used the day it arrived. Does the job. Although, the box was mangled (clearly not shipping related) and the Anvil was rusted. Simple removal of the rust and coated it. 4 of 5 stars since almost the entire thing was rusted.

The steel this is made of is quite soft. You will easily put deep marks into the surface and have to grind them out often. It's nice and compact for small sized forge space. You will want to take a grind to the horn to remove the powder coat. If you do not remove the coat before using with hot steel, the coat will burn off causing fumes you are not going to want to be dealing with unless in a well ventilated forge area.

The anvil and hammer arrived in a torn up box with grease all over it. The anvil is a 55 lb anvil with scratches and chunks of metal taken out of it. The hammer has gouges in the handle and the hammerhead is loose on the handle.

I really wanted an anvil and when I saw this small one for such a good price I thought hell the pictures look like it’s square and flat and they make anvils so surely it’s hard enough to take a strike from a toddler.NOPE! I didn’t think you could screw up an anvil but they proved me wrong
