This is a really nicely made anvil. You won't be forging swords on this guy, but for small crafts it's perfect.

I recently pick up leather working. Setting rivets, and snaps can be a bit difficult, when you're not working on a flat workpiece. This anvil was a great purchase. It has a good weight, price and allowed me to set all rivets and snaps needed!

El yunque es muy versátil debido al tamaño y peso, ideal para trabajos pequeños como anillos o la fabricación de artesanías de bolsillo.

I like the size of it it can sit on for a bunch of little things little bracket needs adjusting straightening or bending it's solid enough to hit it in a decent way with a have a 100 pound anvil sitting outside That I use for bigger jobs but this is really really handy for those small more accurate jobs

I like the size but the iron was softer than I expected. I had to grind for about an hour to straighten the unequal casting flaws. The horn was flat on the top and I ground it to shape then proceeded to test the rebound. Poor results. It looks great now and for 233.00 dollars I wasn't expecting much. I hope it will serve me well until I can afford a 1700.00 dollar one. Happy hammering to all.

Its solid. Good ground flat surface on top with a hole for punching. Nice horn though it has a four hammered finish. It would be better if it was smooth. Four mounting holes make it easy to attach to a block or bench. For small jewelry work it works very well.

I really cannot understand those who expect to work steel on a 9 pound anvil. I have worked steel in the past, and you need a real, large, heavy anvil for that sort of work. The finish on this anvil is exactly fine for hobby work. What does that mean? It means if you want to work silver, copper, even brass, it's exactly what you need for those small projects. Need to work with leather and set some rivets? Perfection! The top is flat, the horn is rounded as it should be! You don't pay $16 for smithy anvil! This is exactly what it purports to be - a HOBBY anvil.Perfectly sized for tabletop use, not too heavy, yet substantial enough to work those small projects. The only drawback is the square hole for anvil tools is only square near the top. they really do need to work on squaring it all the way through. Another reviewer noted this and it is still the case.Sure, you get what you pay for - and in this case I wanted a small, hobby anvil for leatherwork and small brasswork - guess what - I got exactly what I wanted and needed.
